Post subject:  Difficult to make exp pts
Anyone else notice how difficult it has become to make exp pts the past few months? If you look there is usually only enough people on to make 1 pt and then the other people are out of luck and don't get a pt for the night or are waiting around for 30min to 1 hour to find the member they need. And i'm not talking about making the perfect set up. I'm talking about the essential jobs like healer, tank, dd. it's just been such a terrible experience. I know some days more than 1 pt in a lvl sync range is out there but most of the time there isnt. the worst sync ranges are the 33-43s, 44-54, 54-64, 61-71 those you're lucky to get in a pt. Why can't the range be increased ?

One thing I do to help when I want to level is having multiple jobs at different ranges. Then I make a party in those ranges with one of the jobs. This doesn't really work if you just want to level one job all the way.

Exactly, it doesn't work. most people will only have 1 job and they do not dual box. Even if you get a dual box person, more than likely they will not play both very well or decent at all. I actually don't like to invite people who dual box because you can notice how slow they are turning their character or casting spells. Shouldn't have to lvl multiple jobs either just to make it work. with a healthier lvl sync it will fix the problem. Now i'm not saying I know what the range has to be but it certainly has to be larger than a 10 sync range. And people are going to mention the weekends.... this not a weekend only game.

I agree. The level sync range is based on # of players online but given that a few hundred are probably AFK it no longer makes for a good proxy. Nasomi should revamp it to work based on seeking player count or something.

The fact that most xp camps are occupied at all times shows this is incorrect and more of a personal experience for yourself. I'd suggest levelling a more desired job or form your own pts. The servers population has boomed as of late and increasing the sync would only compund the problem, leading to more disputes over camps.

This is all of course ignoring the fact Nas has more important things to work on.

Agreed.
Honestly the only complaint I have is the level 1 to 10/12 grind as it's all just solo grinding.
I kind of wish exp rings or something worked exclusively for that level range as the spirit of the game is group focused.

However and protips: /BST or /PUP is pretty useful to get over that hump

Level 1-12 is the dumbest part of this game. No idea why Nas fucked with that just for the fun of it.

XP Parties after that have been fine.

Idk dude, I just returned on Saturday and have gone from 51-59 pretty smoothly on my DRG, even got help for my LB2 in between. Gotten offers on my alt and other jobs which are like low 20's to low 30's. I might have to LFP for an hour while I fish (mostly just cause I'm lazy and am ok fishing for a bit and letting an invite come to me rather than making a pt).

Seems like there's always at least one PT near a known camp in the well known zones. I spent a few hours killing leeches the other day at Qufim and it looked like a damn block party at one point.

The worst is 1-13. Its the crystal, beehive chip, silk thread farming range. I watch Netflix while killing bees for 20xp.

I've only been playing for about 2 months now and I'm finally getting to higher level parties but I find that it helps if your'e ready to go, even preemptively travel to the camp locations.
I go to the dunes, wait there. I will even ask the parties there "Do you want some if this <job> action?" or /tell Person "I make a good replacement if you need."

its important to be ready. Have your sneaks, invis, food, gear, scrolls.
Its 5th grade kick ball and you want to get picked first.

and its okay to party without a PL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i knew people were going to bring up the weekends. i already said the weekends are fine. A lot of players are there. It's the weekdays that suffer.
