Ok, so I attempted this run a few minutes ago, and I can already tell you there's something wrong between the two.

I checked and double-checked the worms' positioning in your run versus mine, and they are definitely different. The
worms in the inner ring, in your video, are misplaced. This allows you a gap to avoid melee damage from the worms
that does not exist in my run. The worms are evenly spaced along the inner and outer rings in my BC. I'll upload the
clip later, but beware anyone attempting this.

Yeah, why the restrictions on job? The tactics in your video are pretty well laid out for RDM, so that's 90% of the battle.
Shouldn't there be a bonus for doing it on another job, because that requires you formulating your own approach and risking your seals?

I've thought of setting up these types of challenges for older/bored players. No more reward than 1-upping and bragging rights though.

CHALLENGE IS NO LONGER VALID! 12/22/20 Edit: Don't bother with this unless you have the gil to throw away. I only did this to prove it's still soloable, just needs tons of preparation. Greetings! I don't really play much anymore, but when I do, it's just to log in to check on some stuff, chat with random people, and AFK for a few minutes or an hour or two before logging off. I really enjoyed playing and testing the server's game mechanics when I was active and thought I'd propose a challenge, to see if anyone could solo BCNM40 - The Worm's Turn. I'm only doing this to encourage players to try something new aside from their usual activities. I also think it'd be fun. I do have certain criteria that need to be met in order to for me to consider it "legit": 1. The fight must be recorded straight and must not be edited, you can speed it up if you want but only by up to 2x. 2. You must do it solo as RDM/BLM, you can bring people if you want but they aren't allowed to assist you in any way. 3. You are only allowed to use Fruit Parfait as your food. - You are only allowed to bring 1 Persikos au Lait as your Regen drink. - You are only allowed to bring 3 Yagudo Drinks as your Refresh drink. 4. You can bring and use as many Echo Drops as you want (don't forget these like I did). (Optional: No chat filters. I want to see if you can handle the chat log spam and look out for key actions happening and respond accordingly.) Because I'm pretty sure RDM/BLM (aside from RDM/BST if it worked properly) is the only job that can do this. I haven't done a run since the posting of that video, so if there are any differences in monster placement, I apologize. Every time I've done it it's been the same layout. If it WAS changed, you already know how it is, #justnasomithings. Hey if you can do it on another job, go for it. It just won't meet my criteria. But it'd be nice to see it tackled differently. And you have no idea how many seals I've wasted trial and erroring this and OTHER fights to see if they can be solo'd.

Ok, let's start afresh then. We can call it the server's quest for bare minimums. If it can't be solo'd, can it be dualboxed? What job combinations would you use? What's your approach? Theorycrafting is fun, and in a small population server, the more one can do with less, the faster we get things done!

But you'll find doing things manually makes playing the game feel more alive and interactive rather than just going Alt/Ctrl #. It really isn't exciting watching a person rely on medicine for 90% of their survival. But if your inventory allows and it makes you feel better about yourself, by all means fill your bag with it. Because I don't play much anymore, that also means there's no reason for me to farm anymore. I have most of what I need and with the server being stagnant as it is... #justnasomithings. I wouldn't do it unless I think I could, but I did. Also, no, it's not their fault, what are you on about. - I'm currently injured ATM but I'll check ASAP if it can still be done when I'm better. If it can't I'll have to rescind this challenge, apologies in advance. Feel free to PM me the video so I can take a look at the monster placements.

My only question is, if you knew the drops were garbage, why would you spend any time trying to solo it?
