Post subject:  Job Levelling Chain

Hi guys. While playing FFXI, a strange idea came in to me. Think of this: a possible chain of levelling your jobs to Lv75. We all know that we usually level our main jobs at 75, and our desired subjobs to 37. But this "Job Levelling Chain" is focused on this premise: Once the main job is at 75, the subjob will take over as the main job, then a new job will be the next subjob. With that thing on mind, you are being somewhat efficient in levelling all jobs. :)

Still don't get it? Consider this example of job chain:

RDM > BLM > WHM > SMN

What will happen is this: You will start your "levelling spree" as a RDM/BLM. Once RDM is at Lv. 75, you will switch to BLM/WHM, then WHM/SMN.

The challenge here is to create a chain where all jobs are included. So what are your thoughts? You could reply on this post stating why you picked that order.

That could also be used in making the chain. Thanks on giving the idea. So it's either my original idea, or this, whichever suits your taste. As long as the chain goes. Remember that the objective of this challenge is to create an optimal job levelling chain that will give all jobs a chance to level up to 75. Using the case above, it will turn like this:

RDM < BLM < WHM < SMN

Where WHM/SMN, then BLM/WHM, then RDM/BLM. Either way, that's still a chain, so yeah.

(Keep in mind that this "activity" is just for fun, but you could add some criticism to each idea. Just, avoid the salt, please.)

You'll have a hell of a time making the transition from mage to melee without significantly gimping yourself, because there are some jobs that don't really work as subjobs -- especially not for EXP (MNK, PLD, BST, DRG).

MNK is a good sub for WAR and THF early on. Also BST can be used as a sub if you get in some sort of pet burn party.

But the idea here was to go to 75. I don't think WAR/MNK at 70+ would ever get an invite. :P

Enter the challenges of making the chain. Yes, transition is a thing, and party-related stuff is a factor, but one approach to making the chain is to keep it as optimal as possible. Sure, some job combos are bad, but there are far worse. Besides, no one will probably do this. If someone is gonna do this, they sure are brave to go through such sht.

So for the sake of making a chain, let's assume the following for now:

- You are mainly going solo. Partying is ok, but you are not going to be dependent on it.
- You got the time, patience, and completonist's spirit to do such thing.
- You are willing to, and adept, at adapting from one class to another.

Why wouldn't you go the other way and have the main job become the sub job? That way your sub is always leveled instead of always level 1?

Now that you mention it... Why not? That could also help. Adding this quote of yours in the first post.
