So, I'm new to FFXI, and I was wondering how to start the Records of Eminence quests. I know that you have to do the quest by accepting it from the quests interface, but it is not there. I was wondering what level it unlocks at, because it would really help. |

You have to be careful when looking for info on FFXI for this server. This is supposed to be a 2006 experience of FFXI so It helps to limit your search to around 2003-2008 at the latest before some major things changed in the game. Instead of using sparks for equipment and generating vendor gil you will want to just find repeatable quests or good items to vendor for gil then buy what you need from vendors/auction house. It's a bit hard starting off but it's important to remember as a new player many things in this game get easier as you level. Most people now are used to MMO's that are the oppposite but here you REALLY have to start from scratch and build your character up. |

When using FFXIClopedia if you're unsure of something you can click on the arrow next to the 'Edit this page' button and choose the history option. If the earliest entry for that page is after 2008 then about 90% of the time it is not available on Nasomi (some things exist as they were put in by the DarkStar project and Nasomi hasn't gotten around to removing it yet). It's also useful for doing CoP because you can check past versions of the page to see what the level caps and such will be like. |
