Okay hear me out,
I'm having a blast on Nasomi, finished CoP and made some really cool friends.
The last 2 months have kinda been stagnant. Difficult to make parties for the 1 hour i have to play and invites are seldom.
Its not a big deal, thats the 2006 style and I love it.
but I was scratching my head last night and downloaded retail on the free trial.
and let me tell you bruh... there is a shit ton of content.
You start off as a newbie with your onion sword and a pocket of possibilities.
I opened the quest menu and ffxi wiki on another window and dove into dozens of new quests.
There's a tutorial now, you get XP for doing the basic things like finding your mog and the first time you heal. There's also bigger achievements to reach, like do X amount of damage.
I went outside and smacked a gustaberg worm. It died and dropped a treasure coffer. Inside was low level gear! Like what the hell!
and Trusts are 100% the party replacement. Once you hit level 5 you are locked and loaded. No more waiting, just step out side and go get em.
I'm still playing Nasomi but while im seeking, im also gonna be balls deep in retail.
