So are kick attacks broken on Nasomi? I'm hearing conflicting reports. I've been building my mnk for counter and chakra recast because I heard kick attacks were broken. Do any of the shoes work? Looking for confirmation.

Shoes work, Dune Boots are impossible to get here on Nasomi until he fixes the Altepa gate though.

Both DSP and Topaz don't have the PH coded correctly to pop the NM so he would need to fix that as well.

I did 5/5 kick attacks, didnt realise or look up if it worked or not. I havn't done any testing but 18%?(KA2+5/5merits) seem roughly what it is at a guess. I'll play MNK on some limby tonight and have a look, but looking for the 5% margin of error might be a bit painful.

On a side note of MNK, Temple Crown and Gaiters do not seem to give the bonus to Focus and Dodge. But the Temple Gloves give the boost bonus.
MNK might need a little bit of a look at from nasomi, If we find enough things with MNK (or any job) that dont seem to work with a bit of evidence for him he should be able to look into down the line. KA > Chakra imo so would be worth it

focus and dodge gear doesnt work? Thats lame. I've been macro'ing the gear in for a year. I guess it's my bad for not testing to see if it works or not.

Kick attacks absolutely work 100% positive on this. Regardless of whether the shoes work or not you'll want to be using haste boots.

Dune Boots beat Fumas on retail with BiS elsewhere. Wu-Long Shoes +1 gives the same damage as Dune Boots so they SHOULD beat Fuma's but I'm not sure with Nasomi's quirks or even if the +1 is coded correctly.

Doing the equivalent of a 30 damage weapon 13% of the time or even 18% of the time beats out that last 3% haste to hit 25%? I'd love to see a thread about if you've got a link to it handy.

Sorry, the results of my testing were lost on a hard drive years ago. I did extensive testing in 2008/09 with non relic BiS MNK and while the difference was minimal, it was there. This is in meripo situations(2x Marches, Haste, 90%+ acc, etc.) I didn't have the sample size or drive to test on high lvl NMs.

Given Nasomi and DSP's in general jank physical damage formulas though, who tf knows if this is relevant to Nasomi. Spharai's extra damage can proc on kick attacks here too, so I'm sure that will also need to be factored in to some degree.
