I've been trying to come up with an interesting way to run a server wide event and as a first attempt, I am going to host a raffle!

As the title states! the grand prize will be a Chatoyant staff (signed if that means anything to you )

Without further preamble!

Rules and Regulations

1. Prize – Signed Rudthreetrees Chatoyant Staff

2. Entry:
2.1. Raffle sales go live on 12/15/2021 @ 12:01AM EST
2.2. Raffle sales will end 12/29/2021 @ 11:59PM EST
2.3. All entries will take place via Tulduru’s Bazaar in Valkurm.
2.4. Each time you purchase a Wizard Cookie from Tulduru’s Bazaar for 100,000 gil, you will be awarded one raffle entry.
2.4.1. Unlimited entries.
2.5. For any single item purchase over 1,000,000 gil from Tulduru’s Bazaar, you will be awarded two raffle entries.
2.5.1. A maximum of 10 entries can be accumulated via single item purchases of over 1,000,000 gil.
2.6. Entries will be recorded using the player portal on Nasomi.com.
2.6.1. The website will record 25 sales and though I think this will be enough to document everyone's entries accurately, I invite you to leave me a /tell saying you entered.

3. Number assignment:
3.1. After the raffle closes, you will be assigned a group of numbers between 1-999.
3.2. The number range will vary depending on what % of raffle tickets you own.
3.2.1. Example – If 50 tickets are sold and you purchase 5, you will be awarded a block of 100 numbers (i.e., 200-300). As 5 is 10% of 50, you will control 10% of the board.
3.3. Number ranges and whom they belong to will be posted on the forum before the end of 12/31/2021 to ensure transparency.

4. Drawing:
4.1. Drawing will take place on Saturday, 1/1/2022 @ 9:00PM EST
4.2. Drawing will be held at the Valkurm Dunes OP
4.3. /random will be used to decide the winner

5. Claiming the Chatoyant Staff:
5.1. The winning raffle ticket holder will have until 1/15/2022 to claim the prize.
5.2. The staff will only be released when the TOON THAT BOUGHT THE TICKET is present.
5.3. If the winner is inactive for more than 15 days after the drawing, a new drawing will be scheduled, and a new winner chosen.

I thought about this a lot, mulled over how to do it. Tried to look at it from multiply angles.

I'm not making anyone purchase anything and if that's the case, it will turn into someone who bought something anyway getting a free gift.

I've achieved what I wanted, made what I wanted and am trying to engage the community as a whole who seem to trend towards the social negative.



As to getting banned, I'm not sure how this differs from gambling via /random at any player run casino.

To anyone who has had interaction with me, I think they would say I'm generous and trustworthy. I believe I have had conversations with both of you, and I'm quite sure I've never given either of you two a reason to doubt my integrity or intentions. Especially to throw out the word "scam" with careless disregard to the actual circumstance.

Nas has a script or bot or somethin which checks for bazaar transactions like that; a super cheap item being bazaared for far more than it should. To the bot, it looks like RMT, & accounts get flagged/banned. Then you need to argue your case to get your account back. Which can take days/weeks depending. Think its the same bot that grabbed some people for gambling a while (months) back. If Nas looks at your case after the ban & sees it was legit (as the gambling was) he clears you; just a matter of how long that takes & if you want to risk that for your account.

I'm attempting to get a hold of Nas and if I somehow get a response before the start time, I will post a screenshot of the approval or cancel it before it begins.

Either way, I'm in no way trying to scam anyone.

rfk pay out ownms items for 3 years doing this and no one ever got banned, so meh

though maybe nasomi does and he doesnt look at it, like the rest of the server

Knew some people that got banned in this same instance; trade glitched when trading w/ LS bank, so one put up a fire crys for 200k or 1m (I forget) for the other to buy. Both got banned. Took a week (or two?) to get the situation looked at; one of them was unbanned, the other was not cuz he was doing other stuff apparently. Have heard of several other instances with similar circumstances.

Any1 is free to do what they want; just posting what I've seen happen. Proceed with your own caution.

This would prob be a profit for the OP... seems sketch... and ppl who cant afford a chat staff if they exist prob are better off saving for it because they wont win. I would like to see something like this on a super rare item! If anyone can come up with a fun entertaining idea to get me to log on i will put ultra rare items as prizes.

You’re not taking into account that 60 ppl would need to purchase entry for me to get to the profit I normally make off a Chat staff. I’m assuming maybe 20 ppl will attempt it and I will end up giving away a chat for -4m.

Not why I’m doing it.

Ponder it for a second, do any of you think 60+ ppl would sign up? Anything less is a loss to me, plain and simple. I don’t care who signs up or who wins, as long as people enjoy themselves.
