Searched youtube for FFXI nostalgic reasons. And Private server Nasomi popped . Watched it , googled nasomi ffxi and voila. Some more reasearch and installation started. You cant loose anything but time trying it out. Installed and still here having a blast. ! |

Googled. I also remember being put off by the main page. It really needs maintenance if it wants to be our front. |

I heard about a private server a bit ago. Then one day, I got really nostalgic looking up some old ffxi vids on youtube. I was thinking about to reactivate my offical old ffxi account..but I did know it wont be the same like the good old school ffxi. I never liked abyssea and all that shit..nor the 99 cap. So I googled ffxi private server and found the nasomi page. I joined a few days later after thinking about it and ..here I am. |

i was playing on another free server and one person there was telling me about this server and the web address so i came here and stayed here ever since |

I think I might have found it on reddit. Don't think I googled it since I'm fairly certain I wasn't really looking for this server when I found it. |

I saw someone posting a link to this in Final Fantasy group on FB. Just the idea - we could do "Sponsored" promotion of Nasomi server on FB. We have a number of people of playing this, so I am sure there would be some that would like to contribute to that and we could have even more active players! |

The data clearly shows that paid advertising is unnecessary. I don't think that would be a good idea in general for a free private server. |

The best form of marketing for this type of event is word of mouth. Deliver a product that works, and the growth will happen on it's own. I highly doubt the majority of this population is 1st time FFXI players (While I do see there are some based on New Player Forum). If Nasomi keeps delivering a server that meets the demand of the public, Nasomi will continue to grow. |
