Honestly, what little problems I've encountered are nothing compared to the joy of being able to play FFXI as I remember it again. You've managed to make and run a thriving private server, and while some things may have had to be changed a bit, maintained the original "spirit" of the game which is long dead and gone in retail. My only possible complaint would be that I'm not going to be accomplishing much of anything else with my free time for quite a while.

i am thankful for nasomi, but hope the upcoming success of classic wow encourages square to launch a classic FFXI Server With no level sync and working everything preferably a server that unlocks expansions every XX Amount of months so people like me who went the EQ > DAOC > WoW Route can experience the content. |

I loved this era. We all do, that's why we're here. Current retail just isn't the same. It's a zerg fest and all about the numbers. For us, I'd say it's all about the journey. |

I just want to say thank you, I'm having a great time playing FF XI here, is exactly what I had in my mind when I listened stories from the old days of the game. It's awesome and it's free. The lack of a subscription fee has been a huge factor for enjoying the game. Whenever I subscribe to something it creates a weird feeling where I'm almost obligated to play; fun or not to get my money worth. I have 0 complaints. |
