Post subject:  Dancer?
So I've noticed the implementation of some post 2006 Jobs like COR or BLU, but couldn't help but notice the absence of one of my favorite classes, DNC. Now, quick glance at the forums reveal nothing really (Searching the forums for DNC or Dancer didn't really reveal anything.) However, doing some poking around in google, I DID find this post by nasomi themselves on another forum a few years ago.

What happened? Was it decided dancer wasn't appropriate to implement? Or was it horribly broken in its current state? Or too tedious to implement? I'm just really curious (And hopeful that there's still a chance for implementation!)

COR/BLU/PUP came with ToAU, where as DNC and SCH came from WoTG. I made that post over 2 years ago, when I wasn't 100% sure of the direction of the server. Since then a great deal has changed. It's moved from a novelty server to mess around on to the real thing. Quite some time ago the conclusion was made that DNC was just to overpowering of a job compared to the rest. You could sub dnc for almost every single job and solo, which isn't the goal here.

Also, you won't find many old posts because, unfortunately, there was a hardware failure a few months back which wiped out the forums. Very sad, but in a sense good, as it removed a great deal of outdated content that no longer applies.

So to answer your question, it was determiend that DNC would not be implemented here. However there are many other very enjoyable jobs!

Oh okay! I'm fairly new, so I apologize for digging up old posts. While I am disappointed that DNC was decided too overpowered...yeah, I cant argue that I probably would of ended using it for no other reason other than as a solo SJ. Ah well. Thank you for the speedy response though, Nasomi! :D

Hi @Nasomi,

I see your point of view from a "I don't want this to be a solo only server". However, that was two and a half years ago. Do you think you could implement that into the server for those of us that wish to play solo/duo/trio?

I started playing FF11 in 2004 April at launch and have played on and off since then. I can honestly tell you that waiting around for a party / having to do party exp the whole way really limits what jobs you can play when it comes to time limitations.

You can trio mobs easy for xp, and ep/dc give an easy 70xp/kill here, and you can solo in promyvion-zones....what's stopping you?

That's exactly what makes people want to play on Nasomi instead of retail.

The amount of negativity on a simple question directed to the owner of the server is the EXACT reason why partying with others is super frustrating.
