Hello,

I trying to figure out the best way to set up my chat log window. At the moment everything just flies by real quick when fighting in a party. What are your guys suggestion on how to set this up so i can see specific abilities the mobs doing, skill chains/MBs, and the like? :)

Thanks!
Kaiia

Keep in mind the Chat Filters won't work, besides the /tell noise, so we'll use window filters.

Config-> Windows-> Shared: Multi-window: Horizontal. Window1/2: Adjust width as required

Config-> Log-> Select EITHER Window 1 or Window 2, then use left/right arrow to swap which you're actually changing settings for....

"Chat"
Log Settings (Window 1) all OFF
Log Settings (Window 2) all ON

"For Self"
Log Settings (Window 1) first 2 and last 1 option OFF, rest on
Log Settings (Window 2) all OFF

"For Others"
Log Settings (Window 1) detrimental effects others receive ON
Log Settings (Window 2) all OFF

"System"
Log Settings (Window 1) all ON
Log Settings (Window 2) all OFF

This will give you:
All chat on the right window.
All battle-related and system-related messages on the left window.
No damage or misses shown at all. But the readying of mob TP moves, as well as debuffs placed and worn off on them, is shown

You can do the inverse but unfortunately messages such as debuffs wearing OFF aren't movable so they will always appear to the left.

You can use chat filters but be aware they will reset every time you log out
