Buy a Mary's Milk on the AH (about 500 gil) and hand it in to Paouala (M-8) in Southern Sandy for a 5k reward.

This quest is not repeatable, but it can make you an easy ~4.5k right now as the Mary's Milk is decently stocked at 500 gil on the AH currently. (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Sleepless_Nights)

You do not need to be a Sandy citizen, you just need to have a fame level of 2 in Sandy. You can increase your fame by doing other quests, including repeatable, such as the one to hand in Bat Wings in pairs to Secodiand in Northern Sandy (F-6) (http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Fear_of_the_Dark).

While you're in Smelly Elf Town with some fame, if you aren't planning on leveling BLM anytime in the near future, here's another tip. For the price of a single Beastman Blood, then you can receive a scroll of Drain. Right now it sells for 30k.

Raise your Sandy fame swiftly by doing the Only the Best quest.

Thanks very much for these tips. I bothered to do the short quest after the Drain scroll to get the Heavy Axe. An extra 7k about, Naisu.
