Tried different group setups like using blms or ninja ninja and heard other failure stories. We all seem to think the healing used every six seconds was something we couldn't dps Through.

So I was wondering if anyone's been able to put the bcnm on farm without 2hours?

NIN, NIN, RDM.

NIN's ele wheel the two with their backs turned... RDM gravity kites the other.

BLM BLM RDM can do it, but it's tricky. You just have to rest to full MP before Catharsis is triggered and then burn him down ASAP once he starts using it.

I did this nin blm rdm

the first run we noticed strong regen at end and I had to manafont to kill it quick

the runs after that I just made sure to have enough mp to burst it down at end

some newer people in my social ls have had a lot of success using rng as only dps and spamming paralyna on them, seems a bit extra work to me

I'm not sure how much has changed since prior to BCNMs being taken down, but 3x summoner used to be easy mode. One SMN carby/spirit kites the big one while the other two throw fenrir/ifrit/carby at the small ones until they are dead before finishing the big guy.

Slightly less easy mode is having a rdm or smn kite the middle big guy, and then most melee/nin, or drg/mage can handle each soloing a little one. Bringing hi-potions and reraise stuff is a decent idea in case things go south. I recall BST/NIN and BLU/NIN being especially good for the small eyes as well.

With the changes to magic acc and such over the last year or so it may be different, but the Nin and Blm strategies used to be less than ideal on Nasomi due to the mobs having strangely high magic resistance.

I have attempted this with x3 smn after its re-release. Not good things to say about the experience, and the jobs proved ineffective. Any time they use a tp move, they can choose catharsis to increase their hp by at least 15% if they are missing any hp. Before these were reworked, catharsis used to only activate below a certain percent of hp - correct me if im wrong, but I believe it was 50%. Unless you find a way to focus one of the two compound eyes at single time, i find it highly unlikely that this can be done using a traditional one person/one eye method - barring extreme luck.

Sadness. I hope this isn't the new norm for this particular bcnm... Please prove me wrong about my assumptions.

NIN/BLMx2 focusing on one Compound at a time shouldn't have a problem then (throwing occasional ele Nis at the off Compound for hate), right?

This used to be a cakewalk with BSTx2 and RDM. RDM would hold the main eye while BSTs took care of the others. One BST would use their character to help the other BST and their pet kill the first eye, while the first pet held the other mini eye. Your RDM will need to remember to help out with debuffs and your BSTs will need to bring Reward items. Courier Carrie seemed to work well for this when I used to do it. Not sure if this is still viable, but you literally had to try to fail using this strategy previously.

I have no experience with the new OU.

It seems MP is an issue for mage groups. x2 sam/drk/rng and a rdm sounds like a viable group. try that.

I've noticed the cartharsis spam as well. It's literally every 7 seconds so unless u have a significant burst or catch some luck with it using a different move you aren't going to win. So it's why I asked if anyone has success since it's release.

Maybe we can try the ranger thing
