I'd really rather not derail the thread more than it already has been. All the methods I mentioned for making money early on are very viable and accessible to new players. And it's more important than ever with the amount of new players we have. A lot of players will drop if they struggle too much in the first month. I'm trying to provide some easy relief with the quests and methods I suggested.

Meanwhile you have older players doing their best, even deleting info on the wiki, to keep secrets to themselves and hoard profits. Players who already have 10's of millions in gear and gil.

Only reason I did it, is because in every other MMO I've played, it was a bannable offense, so people held up their end of the bargain. And after reading the rules, as well as finding literally zero posts on the matter on the forum, I figured I'd give it a try.

The only post was by Aeroo on 9/13/2018: "Since casino's have sort of been sanctioned, i.e. they were asked about, started happening, and not been stopped, I will start taking bets on if/when this will ever happen. Personally, I don't think it will ever happen. Some think it might happen before the end of the year. Some people think sometime in 2021 it might happen. Hmu in game with your wagers."

All I gotta say is, look out for Mello when you're posting your items for 1 gil on your bazaar to trade hahah I'm comin for ya!

I read the announcement, but I need to stay out of the more active discussions so I don't derail more threads and cause more drama. It seems it doesn't matter what I post, someone is always going to feel the need to make an irrelevant comment referring something else about me.

Not the announcement thread, the one before that titled Quick thoughts on TOAU. I will distill my comment for you: Stop blanket blaming older players for everything. Many older players spend a lot of time helping newer players. Remember, the forums are just a very vocal minority. If people are deleting info from the wiki say greedy shitheads and stop lumping us all in with a few shady pricks.

And regarding the gil - Don't get stuck on fishing moat carp, you rely to heavily on moat carp AH prices and every time this thread is bumped they take a dive because too many people think it's a magical way of making millions. Don't get me wrong, fishing does give you a good source of income but you need to level it properly. By the time you reach level 26 you can catch gold lobsters, which vendor better than the moat carp sells on AH.
