Post subject:  [Guide / Map] Doing Genkai 3 & Magicite together
I am rank 4 and need to go do the magicite mission next. I am also level 57, and need to do the 3rd limit break. Since both of these require going to the same 3 zones, I am going to do both at the same time. While I know my way around these zones (Davoi, Oztroja, Beadeaux) reasonably well, I decided to make myself a map with a route planned out, that I can have open on another monitor as I go.

I figured I'd share it here, in case someone else wants to do the same thing. Here it is:

Note: This is not a complete guide, it is merely a map to go along with guides you find on sites like FFXIclopedia. How to get the key items and getting the passwords for doors etc are not included on this map.

Comments / Suggestions welcome.

Follow the retail wiki.
Nasomi specific things:
Castle Oz
- on the four switch door - just throw the left switch
- on the top floor door with the torch's (near coffer mobs) trade a stack of Earth crystals to the door.
- on the password trap door - no password required
Davoi
- watch out for the ownm as you run around the zone for the orb
Beadaux
- ALWAYS have sneak up as a low level
- some quads can aggro through the floor
- curse from the afflictor underground can reach the upper levels in some spots

I did this successfully yesterday.

I completely forgot to bring a stack of earth crystals, but I can now say that the "traditional" method also works. Also, to my surprise, it is quite possible to light the torch, recast invis and make it through the door solo, even without flee.

To add to this:

- Avoid the temptation to kill an NM on the way. They often stand on top of caves and link everything underneath.
- Remember that OWNMs are sight aggro. Don't just run to the crest forgetting to cast invis first...

................... yeah, it would've been great to know this a couple of weeks ago. The torch/invis method works but the timing is tight solo.
