The problem is that you said 'mouse'. The mouse is worthless for ffxi. |

I use Xbox One controllers with bluetooth. Very easy to set up, and works well. You do need to install this to make the triggers work in FFXI though: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/e ... or-windows |

Keyboard only is the way to go, IMO. |

Logitech F310 is like $10 on amazon. However if you use the mouse your life will suck. Put your hands on the home row and treat it like a controller. WASD to move, ILKJ for camera, tab to target, H to heal, enter to confirm, - to open start menu, F-keys to self/party target. But controller is the way to go if you can get one, plays so much better. |

Is this plug and play for window 10? |

Xbox controllers are the most compatible. Plug and play pretty much. Plus the originals are very well made. Third party controllers are cheaper for a reason. They don't last long from daily use. First to gois either the USB itself (charging or plugging into PC) OR the movement sticks start to go. Invest in a single Xbox controller (plus dongle if you want flawless wireless). And in the future you can get a keyboard attachment that let's you type on it as well. |

Is this plug and play for window 10? Yes, Logitech F310 and F710 are plug and play and fully supported. The F710 is the wireless version. However I recently bought one, and the reception for me is crap even if the controller is right next to the receiver. I don't know if I got a bad one or if they all have that problem. But the F310 I'm using has been flawless and durable for probably 10 years of gameplay. |

Alternatively, if you have a full size keyboard available: I have always rested my right hand on the number pad and use 4862 to move and my thumb on the arrows to look around. 7 is auto run, * is heal, enter is confirm. + key twice gets you to your buffs for when you need to cancel something. My left hand just tab targets and runs the macros. I've tried the F310 and it works great as a plug and play but I never played this on a console so I never got the hang of using a controller and always felt like my reactions were slower and options fewer since i had to open the menu then arrow over to the macro i wanted to use. Maybe i just don't know how to use it effectively though. |
