I did a search and didn't find a topic about this, so sorry if this has already been discussed. I was on during peak hours and was going to take a Chocobo from Jeuno to San D'Oria but noticed the rental price was above 2 thousand gil. Not sure how some of you feel about this, but I was thinking perhaps we could add a cap for how high it can get? I feel anything above 600 for a Chocobo rental is just highway robbery.

You ever tried to maintain a chocobo stable? Ish aint cheap.

There are 3 different chocobo stables in Jeuno. Upper Jeuno tends to be the most expensive one. They don't have equal prices at all, so if it's too high, just go to another stable. You will most likely find one that's around 200 gil for a chocobo.

Price of chocobos goes up each time one is rented. As the other poster said, you can check all the zones in Jueno for the cheapest.

Guys, I understand how it works and that each stable is different. That is not the point of the post. It's talking about a cap.

I'm a fan of keeping things more like retail whenever possible, and on Nasomi prices are typically cheaper than they were on retail. Paying 2k wasn't unheard of there, either, so I'm against a cap.

All that said, I do think there may be a bug with starting prices or with price decay in some stables, but I'm not totally sure.

And putting a cap is contradicting the goal of the server. At level 20 you can farm 2k in 5mins tops.

I think the issue is that there probably aren't so many chocobos out in the field that this price is correct. It seems to me almost as if the price isn't going down as it should be.

Yeah - The price decay mechanic almost certainly broke. However, with how much gil is being pumped in due to things like fishing right now..... a chocobo costing as the high point from Jeuno is probably not the thing that we need Nasomi to diagnose and fix.

Upper Jeuno is 2k+ regardless of the time of day. There has to be a bug with this stable. Just get a choco from another stable for now. That's what I do if I have to.
