Post subject:  new player-Macros limitations and BLM end game ?
Hello all I tried to search for macros help but didnt really see what i was looking for.

I just started out playing the game and I know from posts I have read add-ons not approved and any 3rd party programs are not allowed. With that being said how do BLM's end game control their gear swaps. Since there are so many pieces for each type of spell to help with the spell type dmg, enf, drk etc. and resitance etc.

I know i used spell cast on retail with windower. Is there anything that is acceptable here within the rules guidelines and regulations of Nasmoni server. Or is everyone stuck with just 6 lines of in game macros for gear swaps and having like 3 macros(alt 1-3etc) per spell?

The game has an in-build equipment set management menu. Idk when SE added it but i think it's what you are looking for. http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Equipment_Set_Macros

This link is what you want. You'll just set up your different equipsets and put a line in your macro to change. You can name the equipsets but when using the macro you'll still have to go by the number. So you might name your first equipset enfeeble, but when setting the macro you'd still do /equipset 1 and not /equipset enfeeble. Further, the wiki link says you can use gear in your storage/mog sack, etc which will not work on Nasomi. The gear has to be in your inventory. Gobbiebags are your friend.

You'll love equipsets for blm. Playing on the PS2, I was never able to fully realize any of my job's potential due to the limited amount of gear I could swap in and out per macro. Tanking things like tia required 2-3 macros just to swap in all the fire gear. With equipsets, you can easily program up to 100 different combinations.
