What is the job tier list for this server? I was going to main BLM but I had some hints from other that BLM isn't wanted late game or only for specific bosses. Now I'm planning to go RDM or WHM but can't decide. I don't want to be a healer forever. |

This thread is going to go into oblivion so fast haha BUT In all honesty, play the job you enjoy. You can always go and level something with more utility for whatever event you're keen on later. This server's meta is always somewhat in flux, if you only level x in order to participate in a, you're gonna be pissed when it turns out y is better at a by the time you get to 75. In addition to that, BLM is incredibly useful for most endgame content. If you like BLM, play BLM. If however, you like punching stuff, play MNK. It's not nearly as flexible in endgame terms, but you'll have niches to fill. Thankfully, this is a game where levelling multiple jobs to 75 is entirely possible. |

Most wanted jobs from viewtopic.php?f=17&t=5292 : Quote: 1) 100% legit, knowledgeable, non-afk, non-dual boxed White Mages 2) BRD or COR 3) Tanks like PLD, NIN 4) Any other class 5) THF Also THF is very impressive level 15+ as a skill chain closer and is a decent utility class, there's just a lot of them, but don't let that hold you from playing one if you'd like. Playing an arduous and slow game such as this one requires that you love what you do. |

Take note that the above list is not a tier list but is rather a list of the jobs most in demand throughout the leveling process and beyond. THF is useful but is positioned that way because of how many there are. WHM isn't super amazing but the number of WHMs that are just alts tend to make people wish their WHM was a real person. BLM is probably one of the more useful "any other job" but isn't going to get tons of invites for exp at high levels. |

True, I should've put more emphasis on that. I'm not even sure how you can "tier" jobs in this game, everything is so specialized and niche, some make garbage subjobs but are great mains, etc. |

There are two things you should do: 1. Level any job you wish. They're all useful for different things, and none of them exclude you from participating in anything. 2. Never take advice again from the person that told you BLM isn't wanted endgame. |

Like Baldr said, BLM is useful for almost everything and is the best damage job available for many things. If you want to play BLM, play it - it is strong and it is hard to have too many. If you are between RDM and WHM, go RDM. I can't think of any end-game event where an optimal comp doesn't include at least one RDM. Anything WHM can do RDM can do at least "well enough" (if not better)... while also doing other useful things that WHM cannot. There is no group in the game without a place for RDM. Oh, and it will probably level faster than BLM or WHM, too. While you will often heal in end-game (and nearly always while leveling), you will also be providing support in a way WHM doesn't. Which isn't to say that WHM is terrible; it isn't. It just tends to hang out in the realm of "nice to have," not "need to have." It's also completely at odds with your goal of not always being a healer. All that said, pick the job you will have the motivation to play and gear. It's a lot easier to level and play a useful job you hate if you already have a job you love to go back to at the end of the night. |

You really want to have a WHM AND a RDM in most endgame scenarios. If you're doing nation missions, or CoP or something, sure, you can probably skip a WHM. |
