Besides trying to make a party that nobody will join - because BLM in exp pts - can you allow BLMs some mana burn options. . .

People honestly don't want BLMs in their party as it nerfs exp.

I've been duoing Prommie Vahlz since 62 and it's dementing me that I have to solo/duo in a 50 cap zone to progress.

If anyone else has any tips on leveling 67+ lemme know.

I've partied with a few BLM 55+.. It honestly wasn't terrible. The tips will forever be making your own parties. Maybe be /anon while you're inviting folks.

Find a really active LS with people in the 40-70 range, and always ask if anyone wants to XP in the LS first. It's easier to find members if you're 3/6 with a tank, or a healer, rahter than 1/6

I have a BLM friend that was ~40 about 1.5 months ago and is 69 now. Not terrible progress, but relatively slow, yes.

Try to start your own parties - that's something he can't do since he's JP.

Make parties and try to make friends. Leave a good impression by hitting MB when possible and making the melee's jelly of your peak dmg.

The problem I see is that not many PT (currently level 57) even care about setting up a SC/MB anymore. After level 40 or so on retail every PT wanted a solid SC and BLM for MB. After level 51 with ele staffs BLM picks back up with damage and MBs for 1k+. If it was up to me i'd have a solid SC and a BLM in every PT but trying to get a SC going in a PT seems like to much "work" for most.

Yeah, there's a load and a half of shitty semi-afk players that can't be bothered to pay attention to the game.

You definitely shouldn't have to go /anon. That's insane. People don't like partying with BSTs either but I was able to make enough parties to go from about 62 to 75 over the last month or so (while also leveling other jobs) with out too much effort on my BST. If I had been willing to make more parties that didn't have a BRD it could have been faster, but I only started parties once I found a both a BRD and a tank looking at the same time.

That said, I never once invited a BLM to the party, not that there were many looking. If parties put a little more effort into skill chaining, I'd be a little more inclined to invite a BLM. Sadly, most parties don't bother trying to do skill chains, I find.

I have a 60BLM that I'm actually thinking of jumping back on myself, so I guess we'll see how it goes. Maybe I'll see you in Vahzl, lol.

Yea I don't get it... soon as BLM gets freeze you take down IT mobs at 70% health with a SC and MB. Anything is better then searching the world for more lizard and rabbit camps...

Not to go off topic about BLMs, but i noticed the lack of skillchains too. Everytime I start a party I try to get the melees to agree to a skillchain, and its crickets. On retail skillchains were mandatory or you were considered a bad melee. What makes this server different?

SAMs were the masters of SC and you can't even get them to work one out for the group. Melee used to know every SC combo by heart and now... nothing. One of the many things that still makes FFXI unique to MMOs is the SC and no one cares about it here.

Without the SC, BLM don't have much purpose in the exp party.
