Post subject:  Five great years -- what's been your favorite memory?
With the recent five year anniversary of the nasomi server I thought it would be fun to have a blast to the past by sharing some of our favorite experiences on this server. Whether you have been here from the beginning or are just starting out, what has been your favorite memories reliving the best era of FFXI?

Here are some of my favorite, in no particular order:

1) Duoing Dynamis-Bub everyday with Fid for >3 months to obtain our first relic weapons (this was before the meta of manaburning the zone). This was us right after obtaining our Aegis and Apoc!

2) Getting my Defending Ring. This kill was on 2/22/2016 - I was studying for my medical school boards when I decided to log on that afternoon for a break. Great surprise gift!

3) Getting Goldsmithing to 100. Back when Orichalcum Ore's were 120k/each. Took me the better part of a year and a half to accomplish this goal.

4) The server's first AV attempt -- we were able to get it to about 95% after breaking the regen.

6) Killing AV with the squad four times

Some others..

7) EXPing with Warycatalp and Aqui. Was able to get 9 jobs to 66+ in the span of 2.5 months to complete my Maat's cap
8) Taking a deep dive and creating TopShelf endgame LS with some of my best buds in game. LS has grown into a family and I wouldn't have it any other way
9) Trioing Dynamis-Beauc for fragments for our first relics with Fid/Chase, did some novel stuff that run and it was so much fun
10) HQing my own Cursed Cuirass-1 and Cursed Mail -1 to complete my goal of having every HQ abjuration body +1.

I just started out at the end of April and my journey so far has been brilliant, a lot of players have gone out of their way to help me in the last 3 months and I just want everyone on this server to know that I think you're awesome, keep up the good stuff my dudes. Also to my homies in TsunamiSurfers, ILU, marry me pls.

I'm still green under the belt but some of my best experiences so far have been:

Zerging Valkurm Emperor as a fresh group of level 20's while farming SJ items, and running back from the OP one by one when we died.

The time I lured an unsuspecting LS member to Blueblade Fell, to then swiftly MPK him with 20 Fomors.

When we zerged Megalobugard as a bunch of level 40's on the way to Cape Riverne. RIP my bumhole.

When we finally got the last 'Voyager Salad' for our Robocop cosplays.

Getting Bloodbead Ring earlier for my boy Oxos, my first NM claim in 10 years.

Honourable mentions:
Camping Roc and shooting the shit with some guys from Yes only to find out we all missed the spawn.
SMN burn where I had a bunch of fun with some TopShelf dudes and Renala.

that was nice to read man gj congrats. ff is a game that keeps on goin always fun times
tryin something your uncertain about. possibly failing once or a few times then working together to overcome the odds and winning :) rare a game gives u that sense of accomplishment

1. Server crashed. Came back online and every NM was up in the zone. I was able to get claim and kill every single one except the big bad guy (in Davoi). I ended up getting every single one of the good drops from them. Not much wow factors but was kinda cool and fun.

2. Soloing Aquarius at 62. Got him down to 5% when I mischarmed a T crab...then couldnt get him to charm in next 3 attempts...Died with Aquarius only needing to be hit like 3 more times lol.

3. Running UO and on my very first attempt getting PCC.

Theorycrafting blu shenanigans and outnuking black mages on it.

Blu burning for 30k exp an hour in aydeewa.

Doing g2 with an alliance of level 55s, tanking on war/mnk.

Being part of the first AV kill as well as all subsequent kills.

Linkshell secret Santa with the homies


Burning through all of Lyles level 50syncs in KRT ls parties.

Too many amazing times to list them all.

3. Getting our Kraken Clubs.
4. Being invited to TopShelf
5. White Coney+Tiamat at the same damn time.
6. White Coney+Tiamat+Jorm+Nidhogg in less than 10 hours.
