I'm building a companion app for iOS.
Brows the auction house and find party members from your iPhone or iPad.

Looking for active players to try it out and provide some feedback.
If you're interested please PM me an email and your main characters name.

More features planned.
This app is not affiliated with Nasomi.
I'm NOT building an Android version (sorry).

I appreciate that you're putting your time and effort into a new tool for our community, but is this really that useful? You can already do these things from the website on any phone. No app required. And it works with Android! :) I'm always confused by the value of apps that don't do anything more than a website already does. Can you browse the AH the same way you browse in-game? That could be cool and something you can't do the website.

This is just a wrapper for the website, but still:

I believe when native is done right, it's always better. Panning and zooming a javascript page bothers me.

Right now I'm mimicking the web portal for simplicity, but I plan to do better once a foundation is built.

Things I'd enjoy adding:
    Advanced party searching based on all your available jobs/levels.
    AH sale background notifications.
    AH item availability background notifications.

Advanced things id enjoy:
    Navigation based on current location using maps (take me to cape terrigan).
    Character Net Worth calculator based on avg AH sale price and available Gil (just for fun).
    Things to do in my location (quests, NMs, etc...)

But this is just for fun. And I'm open to suggestions.

Yup, it won't ever be posted on the App Store without permission.
So if permission isn't granted the app dies.

If you're going to actually seek his permission to use an app that isn't even running on the PC that you play the game on (Which is clearly the intention of the rule Nabutso cited) you can really just skip doing this altogether.

You'll never receive his blessing to run an app for his game. You can decide whether that information matters to your continuing to develop it..

What wolf said, a browser for ah/party/search/bazaar is certainly not the intention of the rule nab pasted. Nas is against plugins/bots/etc that create an unlevel playing field, not against a way to browse the AH on your phone. If you're concerned, reach out to nas on naschat, but i suspect since this thread is still here, nas won't have a problem with it. Similar to how SE felt about FFXIAH, they probably had little opinion of it.

However, I'm not so sure that nas would be about the account management thing for security reasons.

Nasomi explicitly said to cease the stuff I was doing with the data on the nasomi website. And has told others to not do things like scrape AH data.

There is more than one precedent to not do this. And that's before even discussing people entering nasomi login info through your app to view their stuff.

edit: seriously. Consider the things nas doesn't allow and ask yourself if something like this is any different.

Since when is having a different opinion arguing, his posts seem pretty mellow to me? I suppose if someone wants to debate something that you have a different opinion on, its automatically classified as an argument lol.
