Hi everyone! Read up on conquest but couldn't find the information I was looking for. How exactly is it calculated? For example, in the last hour the bar read that one nation was dominant, but then 30 minutes later it suddenly flips to another nation being full bar. Is this a glitch or is it working how it's intended? I guess my overall question is, what is the best method to secure an outpost before tally? Thanks for the help ![]() |

30 minutes for an active 6 person party is enough to flip a zone from 0 influence to dominant influence. Additionally, relative nation populations are then taken into account. Windy gets a boost, and Bastok too (a smaller one). |

I assume we'd need at least 3-4+ full parties since it's such a busy zone? Does the difficulty of the mobs matter at all? For example, a group of level 20+ people sweeping through the dunes killing as many EP+ as possible or is it more effective to just have an EXP party killing IT+? |

All that matters is the final stretch. Lets give a number (this is just an example, I don't know the real value) and say that the entire conquest bar is 50k EXP. That means that if some group goes in there and grinds ALL WEEK to get the conquest bar to stay at the max amount (50k) but they leave in the last hour, Saturday night at 11 PM EST to go do something else. If someone shows up and starts grinding with a party there and they earned more than 25k EXP (so they control more than half the bar now) then the new party will win conquest there. The best way to look at it isn't the current state of the bars, as they will swing wildly over the course of even half an hour, but instead how many parties and how much EXP is being earned for the final stretch. 6 people killing a 200 EXP IT every minute (1200 total exp) is way better than 6 people killing 1 EP each every minute. |

Almost all region have mobs you can get EXP on at 75. I think gustabhrg might be the exception. |

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I know that a lot of people make fun of Windurst for being "awful" but I'm not going to give up on trying to help it and the new players coming in. I'm okay with being a part of the underdog nation and others perceiving it as "awful". All I know is that I love Windurst because that's where I spent a lot of my time in the retail days. Our discord has been feeling up with a handful of new people so I'm feeling a little bit more hopeful in our efforts to capture some Outposts! |
