Nasomi Community FFXI Server :: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Ther'es 4 parties in the dunes right now, not sure where you're looking.

Did you try putting stuff on the AH? There's lots of ways to make gil. NPC all the drops from monsters.

You want to be level 13 before trying to find party in the dunes. It used to be level 10 but there is a bug with the lizards I guess. If you're sand'y, a good place to level from 10-13 is king ranperre's tomb. Just run through the tunnels killing bats and goblins.

And for gil, be sure to do the repeatable quests for your city. If youre sandy (sandy is the only city i've played out of lol) you can turn in rabbits hides, flint stone, and bat wings for a decent amount of a gil. If you're not sandy, find your cities repeatable quests from this list.

It's usually really basic items that you get from early level mobs.

Also make sure you have signet so you get crystals! Fire crystals sell 1k a stack. I've been playing for a few weeks and I've probably made about 15k gil just doing the repeatable quests and selling stacks of crystals.

Gil can be a little rough at first on Nasomi, but this is mostly because of how expensive "lowbie" gear seems compared to retail. Eventually you'll get to a point where it isn't so bad though.

If you're leveling WHM, keep in mind that a lot of people have multiple accounts here and powerlevelers are almost always a staple in every exp party, so getting into actual parties as a healer is ironically pretty tough. I experienced a hard time leveling WHM when I started here, but I stuck it out because I like the job and I needed it for BST anyway.

Hit me up in game this evening if you need a hand with anything. I'm going to be leveling my lowbie jobs and I'll help show you around.

get thf to 15 and farm silk thread to sell on the ah and npc the crawler calculus for the quest. use that gil to get to 30+, and depending on your main job you can do some npc farming for like 25k/hr.

use that gil to get even higher levels then go from there. it's always more efficient to get higher levels because it opens up your opportunities to make gil.

i'd get blm to 37 first if you can, because then you can farm lightning clusters in qufim, thats your best gil/hr for that level at like 45k/hr. that will MORE than enough be able to take any main job you want to 75 and/or start crafting if you want to make your own niche in the market.

Well not that bad and not that ugly The Good: The game, playing again after years away is awesome, that nostalgia feeling of when i started playing in 2003, and its free! Nasomi i love you. The Bad: Where are the parties? so far no parties for me, i have been soloing, its fun, but slow, areas are just so empty... The Ugly: Money money money... its hard to make gil, AH stuff is expensive, cant afford much, i have been selling all the stuff i get to Npc shops because well, putting something to sell in the AH takes forever to sell >.< Ah well, im not mad or anything, im really enjoying the game. Well back to soloing

Shout for MogHouse LS. That's where most people shout LFP. /sea all inv works too, with level sync you can ask people of all levels.

I played the golden age of the retail game, 2003-2011, and i was a WHM main, i was always bombarded with party invites, that is why i thought it was odd i was not getting invites here...
