Post subject:  Brand new player have alot of questions SORRY!

1.Do I just get signet cast on me and just kill things? I watched a youtube vid i believe its retail this guy was getting quest to kill 10 hornets for gil.

2.RDM is my main job and when i cast dia does it suppose to tell me that it lower the mobs defense or something? I see the hp goes down gradually but it never show up in the window all it says that i cast dia.

3.The worm mobs stone magic hits hard is it possible to interrupt magic skill?

4.How to open chat right away? I'm use to the standard mmo pressing enter to chat with people right away this game isnt like that. Wanted to thank him for casting protect on me (which helped a ton took 0-1 dmg instead of 10+) but i couldnt get the chat box up to type to him.

5. How low lvl healers manage mp around lvl10+ for parties? I heard something about this map called rune or dunes i forgot the name needs healers i just wanna make sure i can keep everyone alive.

6. Using a controller am I at a disadvantage? Since this game is slow pace i just wanna lay back and play with a controller than a keyboard.

7. Whats the number thing on the top right and bottom right below my ign suppose to mean and how to get rid of it? Image

8. Any tips in general or about the RDM class i should be aware of?

That's it I just wanna be prepared for whats to come so far this game is very fun and very confusing atm maybe this will ease things a little bit since this is my first time playing this and if you one of those people who likes typing wall of text please do I LIKE TO READ THEM!

1. If it was retail video, it could be the uh.. book things. Which aren't in nasomi.

2. Dia is a near unresistable dot that does 1/2/3 a tick and lowers enemies defense by a % amount.

3. Worms on here are broken an cast stone on you even if you melee them. Its not intended at all. Anything can be interupt by whacking it enough, but low levels you likely won't hit enough times/quick enough to.

4. Enter > say the thing. There are many chat options. /s for say(just around you) and /sh for shout(whole zone) - you can also /t name to send a tell(private message to only them). Other chat types are /p /l /l2 and.. think thats all.

5. You just need to practice. You can do yourself a favor and get some lower level MND gear (Only things that come to mind is ring/wand/neck at low levels) and also max out your healing magic skill. It'll help a lot. But as a subless redmage, you will likely only be support heals.

6. I personally use a controler and think I am decent at the game.

7. Top left is fps. You can mess with that by doing /fps 1 if you want 60 fps. (/fps 2 to have 30 fps cap)

Top right is distance from you to target. Important for some jobs.

Bottom right is your health and mp. This.. is important. (Party will also be seen here too)

8. Don't think because you can use a sword you always should. You are a jack of all trade, master of none. You can do some pretty impressive shit but you will never be a 11/10 Melee DD, nor a nuker. Your main role is a enfeebler/healer in most cases.

I'd also read http://nasomi.com/wiki/index.php?title=New:Rules so you don't run in to any issues down the line

Using debuffs would we know how long it will last or we just gotta guess when it goes away and recast?

Gonna take sometime getting use to but good to know

I guess mp potions doesn't exist huh? I understand why people love refresh so much

Yep now its running smooth as i thought it should be

I really wont be paying attention to this honestly xD

I knew about the bar i was asking about under my name i see a 3 digit number that keeps changing numbers and when I load a map i see it in the black screen sometimes it goes white then text turns green :?

Mp potions exsist. They just are not viable for long term things. (They apply a medicated debuff so you can't use any for X time after)

You can get hMP though. (Healing MP) Which conveniently, you started in bastock, letting you buy the ginger cookies from an NPC near north-gusta entrance in port.

Its important to watch your distance when healing/supporting, since AoE's like lizards fireball have a set range, and staying out of the range will lower the aoe damage. Really helpful. Plus, max range nuking is a thing.

The number is your TP, if I'm thinking right? The white one which is like 784 in the screenshot?
