Don't feel bad about it those dudes can take it up the butt if anything. You should get in to fishing that's why imo this server has had such the population increase, people can actually make decent gil now to keep up with there spells and gear unlike before. If Nasomi ever nerfed fishing in to the ground or took it away, rip this server.

Always amuses me when I see people mention things about WHM not being able to melee well (or really any mage for that matter).

... really depends how you play it. Yes, they can't take things out as fast as a good WAR or SAM, but if you get creative with gear and subjob, you can have a lot of fun farting around as a "battle mage" on your own time.

That can go for BLM, SMN, and even BRD to some extent as well.

Testing your limits solo/duo can be a lot of fun. Figuring out ways to fire off skill chains and bursting off them and such... exploiting mob weaknesses (elemental affinity, weapon damage types, etc). They probly don't do them anymore... but WHM burns back in the day were fun as h3ll.

While there are accepted/expected norms for xp/mission parties, when it comes to your solo time and goofing with friends... just do you and have some fun!

"on your own time" being the key words.

If cash is too tight for silena, then fishing has not been "nerfed in to the ground."

Thanks everyone for the good advice. All I've been doing the last couple days has been fishing, and moat carps have been doing me well so far.
