I wouldn't worry about that Wallen, everyone needs a reminder at some point to get some farm done. It's taking that reminder in stride, like you are, that people seem to have difficulty doing.

Or you can just fish... level your fishing skill and eventually you'll make around 100kgil/hour, should be enough to get some spells quicker than the quest would have taken and definitely quicker than hunting BCNMs hoping that you'll get the right drop on your orb.

Wallen, while moat carps now seem nice for your current cashflow needs, I strongly recommend that you continue to target fish that will give you skillups. My experience (97.9 fishing) is that 100k/hr (Nightcoder's figure) is not sustainable. Nevertheless, many players reliably rake in 40-60k/hour with 96 fishing and a composite rod. If you doubt this, go to the Sauro coast and watch.

OK maybe my figures are inaccurate, right now I'm only fishing level 73 anyway, but I already make over 40k/hour just fishing and vendoring Bastore Bream at Port Windurst (possible from fishing level 66+), got me all the spells I needed for RDM at my current level without farming anything.

I don't understand the point of this post. You were lacking an important spell, and the party was annoyed at the fact. You're lucky they didn't kick you. I don't know if you're new to the game or not, but the answer to the question, "Which spells are important?", is "All of them." Which gear is important? All of it. If you don't have the money for your next 5-10 levels of spells/equipment, you're not ready to put your flag up.
