So the server seems pretty populated, and a /sea all on the weekend showed more players than retail has for a long time XD. I see a lot of people with flags up but I've been soloing and lfg for a couple days. I am a subless lvl 12 rdm though so maybe that's my problem.

Are there any particular jobs that are in high demand? Probably tanks I'm guessing but I just want to see what I'll be able to actually find groups as not only now, but as I progress through the game. Are there any people who need to level a job around my level?

Any noob friendly linkshells I can jump into?

I played retail for a long time, did a little endgame content but it got pretty lame after abyssea. I'm hoping to find a home here, but it's getting lonely :(

Being a subless 12 RDM is rough, yeah. But, you'll find that one or two parties that it takes to get to 18 and get a sub in no time.

BRD, COR, NIN, PLD, RNG, SAM, DRK, probably in that order are in high demand. At least for EXPing.

Shouting in town is a good idea for getting a newbie shell. There are tons!

I did the same you did. Rdm without sub job lfg in dunes. 1h later i gave up and went solo. Healers without sub job are the last ones to be picked i guess.

I'd like to add in, I get a lot of invites on WAR for exp too. I often have to go /anon (just hit 60!)

Yep, I'd tack WAR onto the end of Nabutso's priority list. I regularly toss WAR into my list of /sea all XX-XX to try and fill out a party with the best possible DDs before grabbing one of the 8 THFs LFG.

Also, if you're having trouble getting an invite, sometimes the best way to get into a party is to be the one to build the party.

This is the issue. Make the party, if there are alot of people with flags up start one. The issue is people are lazy and don't want to start one. Especially if you feel like you are the weak link.

/sea inv
/sea all 12-22 inv

commands to help you look for people. Shouldn't take too long. Find a War or Nin or PLD, then fill it with a WHM and the Ocean of Thf's looking for PT.

*shameless self promotion* DRG is pretty awesome too. Can be hard pre spirit link, but for certain parties I think it's the best DD, i.e. for KRT, anything with flies, anything with birds.
