I see the community is based on good behaviour and generally not being an ass to people.

I've only been here a week or so. But i got a certain miner in Zeruhn who has been stealing nodes. As in coming into the node after I already started mining.

I know this wasn't really bannable on official servers. But was viewed as bad behaviour.

This certain person, is also a thief/ranger, so they already have a huge advantage.

I left the persons name out of this for now.

Just wondering what or if there are rules on the server.

Consider working together so that both of you mine faster instead of competing and ending up with 2 people getting less each than you would if either were solo.

Oh ive done that, most the time people have been courteos, Zerhun gets crowded, just a fact of being a low lvl area. After I asked the person not to steal, he tried to accuse me of being the thief, and following him to find nodes.

I guess they feel they own the node if they see it on widescan.

Not the end of the world. Only person I had an issue with.

This is what i gotta deal with, I guess its just best for me to leave the area until they are done., Edited out the name.

Without context, there's nothing wrong with what they said. If you're going to leave nodes up, you can't just expect them to wait around for you forever. They're losing gil/hr.

But stealing a node from under you is definitely a dick move, it that's what happened.

Are mining animations networked? It could be that the other party observes you simply standing around and assumes you aren't mining it.

True, ultimately it would be a he said /she said thing. I wasn't leaving any nodes, ended up breaking my last pick, and they used that as reason to threaten to take all my nodes.

I ended up leaving the area, just not worth the hassle. I don't play this game to get into conflicts with others. I screenshotted all the convos. In case it was against the rules.

They got upset with me for saying they should be in gusgen because they can make more money there, and felt I was telling them where to go.

Anyways, I'm moving on, its a dick move, but no rule breaking. So i'll just remove myself from the 'dick'.

Ended up getting help to finish my subjob quest, so a blessing in disguise.

you just kinda gotta decide what kind of player/person you want to be.

I prefer not stealing nodes, but if someone wants to be a d bag about sharing/you being there while they are there? I'm going to steal every single opportunity I can.
