Post subject:  Dynamis Questions

Okay, so I never really got into Dynamis before. I kinda want to overview my understanding and see what suggestions you guys can give me.

1. After doing all pre-req quests then I pay 50,000 for an hourglass.
2. Trade Hourglass to location to enter into Dynamis.
3. Find the 5 Time Extending Monsters and kill them. (They check with impossible to gauge)
4. Kill Random Monsters and "Proc Them" not sure how I would proc them as a BST Weapon skill, Job ability, or Magic Spell?
5. Collect Currency for Relics and target specific monsters for relic base items.

Questions.

1. What do I have wrong?
2. Can Procs stack and by how much?
3. Can I solo anything as a BST with 5/5 Beast Affinity in there? I have both /WHM and /NIN and /RDM to choose from, might do /RDM if magic is needed to stagger stuff.
4. How long before I can enter Dynamis again after my Time Runs out?
5. If I cannot solo how many would be the minimum needed to do it decently?
6. How much space should I have open you think in order to not run out of space while farming?
7. Anything else that I should know?

No hourglass is involved. You trade 50k directly to the entry point to get the prompt to enter.

I don't know what "proc them" would mean.

You enter the area, kill the mobs (with mobs spawning other mobs), kill the boss, doing this strategically to make the time limit. Farming just means killing specific mobs in addition to (or instead of) going for the clear, depending on what relic armor or currency you want.

You do not want to do Dynamis solo. A party of 6 in some scenarios can do some farming in some of the zones.

You can enter Dynamis once every real-life day (resets at midnight EST).

You are going off current retail dynamis, which what we have is based off original dynamis.

1. You dont buy an hour glass here, you just trade 50,000 gil each time you wanna enter (per person) if its your first time trying to enter you get a CS, dont worry it wont take your 50k til it actually lets you enter.
2. No procing system in place here, theres a bunch of statues that when you pull them spawn 3-5 mobs which can include NMs.
3. You might be able to solo some of the beast type mobs that link by sight in dreamland dyna(qufim, valk and bubu) but no way are you gonna be able to do the statues + multiple mobs I mentioned above. Also solo id say go /thf for TH
4. You can enter once per real life day here, resets at midnight EST.
5. Most low man groups usually take at least 1 party or can go as low as a duo or trio if just doing sight linking beast type mobs in dreamlands.
6. If you want to keep ALL the armor drops youd need as much space as you can, if you just want currency then youd only need 6 max?
7. If you want to solo on bst doing dreamlands, try to go at off hours to avoid holding up a zone while larger groups are waiting to get in. I wouldnt recommend solo Im sure some actual BSTs could chime in on their experience but Id assume youd wanna go with at least a few other people.

You can't really solo Dynamis here. This Dynamis is based off of original retail, not the bastardized horrible version that SE created later on.

That means almost all pulls will be 3-9+ monsters and each of them is at least level 80.

I've seen groups trio/4-man Dynamis (I've done it in some cities and CoP zones) but you're not going to get that much done this way. You may be able to do a lot of sac pulls and get a clear in San d'Oria and clear a decent amount of CoP zones, but that's all.

Sounds like I could prolly kill one at a time slowly, most likely not ending up being worth the 50,000 entrance with how many I could kill or barely breaking even. Since my Crab is level 85 I think level 80 mobs should be fine to kill since I solo the Dhamels that are Toughs/VTs in Bibiki Bay super easy.

Honestly I think the main problem/issue will be holding up the instance for another entire group of people. I'd hate to be like "Sorry guys I'm farming slowly while you guys could actually do something much quicker here" It isn't nice taking something over even if I was there first. I might try it like he said during off hours. Or might just look for a group of BSTs/SMNs to pet zerg it ^.^

The main problem with soloing in Nasomi's version of Dynamis will definitely be linking mobs.

On retail, they changed all of the mobs inside Dynamis to be regular class mobs, except for the named NMs which are still "Impossible to Gauge!" NMs.

I can't speak for Nasomi Dynamis as I haven't gotten that far in the game yet personally, but if the spawned mobs have been reverted back to NMs as they were pre 2010, then linking will definitely be something to keep an eye out for as NMs link instantly when their target dies or they otherwise deaggro from a target, whereas normal mobs have a short cooldown period of about 3-5 seconds after killing a target/deaggroing where they won't aggro/link again (Until they start moving back to their spawn point, or just moving around their spawn area).

As soon as you send your crab to hit a statue, he spawns 2-5 other enemies that will now start beating on your pet. So you're not just killing one mob, your pet is fighting 3-6 of them at a time.

CoP is a little different, the mobs link in groups of 3, but the same principle applies.

Gotcha, I think it would require a bit too many Dawn Mulsums to make it worth while then.

If you have like 80-100 Dawn Mulsums you can solo the boss in each dreamlands zone with a Familiar'd CourierCarrie (know from experience lol) but you'd probably want to bring people along just to help you get to the boss monster and help dd the boss down.

For currency farming SOLO, I found Dynamis - Tavnazia to actually be easiest but this is because there is a lot of single mobs everywhere and I dual boxed. At the start you can get by the bugards fairly easily, and then the worms are just silence + beat up (the aoe sucks a bit but it's still viable just painfully slow).

Bees are also killable there but dealing with the grouped mobs is troublesome. I had considered BLM + BST for dual boxing but I've not tested that (just a theory). Really only limited by how many mobs you can keep pinned down whilst dealing with another, it's slow and takes a long time to clear but it is definitely doable.

You'll want meritted enfeebling and BA 5/5, and a good Reward set for all of this. I personally meritted Dia III to help the physical damage output but do whatever works for you I guess.
