For a good starting craft, which would by the most beneficial to your own character as well as making profits early on 1-30

Maybe alchemy could be a bit profitable early on. Also highly depends on how much you wanna farm the items or buy them. For own use it depends which job you wanna play but that low there isn't much use for your own i feel like. If you mean the craft lvl 1-30 and not your job level

I just dinged 30 alchemy. It was realatively painless and the price of silent oil/invis potion is so high you can profit off NQ, which is uncommon.

might be dumb, but you do solo or dualbox, leathercrafting might not be horrible.
you can use sheepskin to make decent gil, or rabbit hide. actually use this stuff you know?
there are other higher lvl ones you can use later such as dhalmals, especially if you are lvling bst and killing these mobs anyway.
do some research on what items you can turn for small profit in leathercraft from retail that still exist in nasomi by checking nasomi ah.

Clothcraft is relatively painless, and if we consider the gil it makes as being useful for the job you're playing, then it's good for everything.

That said, this is true of most crafts early on; you can make pretty good gil by just sitting at the AH synthing all day. I suggested Clothcraft because it is a craft that you can quickly get up from farming mobs for crystals/items for synth usage (East/West Sarutabaruta, Giddeus) and also gain EXP whilst doing.

Again this is probably true of almost all crafts. If you get some starting gil, look at what sells (vendor, AH) in the first 30 or 40 skill levels of a given craft and decide whether it's worth pursuing it, ease of acquiring materials; I used to not do any of this and that's why I'm poor at lv75 lol
