First of all....I am clearly brand new to the forums...I wanted to take this moment to THANK each and every person for preserving quiet possibly one of THE most important games of my life...I started playing FFXI back in 2003 and played it very heavy for about 7 years and then on and off for another 3-4. I have met some of my best friends in RL in this game, and have made memories that will last me a life time. I have been back to the current game and it just feels like it's always been missing something...Enter Nasomi Community!!! I am so eager and excited to relive some of the most magical experiences that I had back in the day playing this game but what i'm most excited for is the interact with a community that to today has still never been re-created. Again thank you so much to everyone that makes up this community and I am so eager to meet each and every one of you as I enter the servers hopefully at some point tonight!

Welcome back.

Can relate to the excitement... just started up in the last month or so. Been trying to reconnect with old LS mates from Carbuncle to get them on board as well.

Welcome back. It's everything you remember with some special private server flare mixed in. Haha make some friends and enjoy. Also what old server did you play on?

Thanks so much everyone! Literally sitting here watching the download push and push haha. I was on Phoenix my entire FFXI career, jumped to a diff server for maybe a month or two before returning...Phoenix was so lit back in the day, it survived the major merges and was always there while I was playing it. Evestasis was my character name, Ran with LinkShells like BlackTheory, Oceans of Al'Teiu, RoffleKights, Can't remember our Dynamis LS, but it was one of the TOP 2 on the server. Us and DynamisBums were always bouncing back and forth for #1!

If you have issues with the download (size is ~5 GB), try using the torrent. Lots of Download traffic today.

Thank you so much Nabutso but i'm all set i think. Just created my accounts and getting ready to load it up. Install went pretty quickly for me actually so here goes nothing!!

Same- So many people using their original names from retail- I chatted with a friend from my first ever ls in 2004.. what a cool way to reunite!
