I just find it rough that I'm stuck at 45BLM because nobody will invite a BLM. Smart ones, like me, can Magic Burst sometimes greater than a THF's SATA but nobody will invite even as highly geared as I am. If Mob Pet XP was normal it wouldn't be so bad but are we really stuck with promies being our only source of XP? It's just not right. I shouldn't be considering switching my main job choice because of this after I've gone through all the trouble of getting to 45BLM. I've tried sitting in both Zi`Tah and Crawler's Nest for hours on end with no invite or people randomly leaving a party I try to build myself simply because of my job choice. Something has to be done. You want us for 2-3 Dragons, BCNMs and OWNMs but we can't get XP to get to that range? I call shenanigans. |

No, their dps sucks in parties, and until something is changed, that reality wont. Their ability to cap enmity in 2 seconds also makes them suck compared to summoners in end game, even though summoners now do half the damage. |

I can totally understand that the BLMs that grab hate without paying attention by spamming their highest spells are harmful but that doesn't represent anywhere near the majority of Black Mages. The Majority of us know exactly what we're doing but get punished by both Nas and players by way of nerfs/lack of party invites but it still doesn't change the fact that people want 75BLMs to get things done but refuse to actually allow them to reach 75. If there was an option for us besides Promies this thread wouldn't even exist but it does to prove a point that we're here and this isn't right. I want to play BLM, I don't want to swap main job because of all of these factors. I say we band together and refuse to Sleep these 2-3 Dragons for people and such until a change is made. I get it, the nerf was based on complaints of Mob magic moves being devastating like Goblins' Bomb Toss but we BLMs exist and we want to XP as well. |

Exactly. Like I said, if it hadn't gotten to the point that Solo'ing Promies is our only truly viable option this thread wouldn't exist. 25% Mob Pet XP when we're struggling to get above 35 is ridiculous and I'm sure I'm not the only person who thinks so. There are a number of options to remedy this situation but it just continues to degrade more and more. I can understand people wanting to TP burn but at the same time for every skillchain there's a spell to Magic Burst for plenty of damage. We go hand in hand with TP burn parties but nobody seems to accept it. People want BLMs to Sleepga and such but not for XP. How are we supposed to get to the point where we /can/ Sleepga? |

I get what youre trying to say, but this isnt retail. BLMs dont put out enough dps without pulling hate and dying, period. You dont bring them to do slightly more damage than summoner, and cause 10x the chaos maybe pulling agro. I dont disagree with your proposed methods of helping blackmages, as they need all the help they can get. I was just answering your post title's question and telling you why. |

Oh I definitely understand. I don't have any hard feelings towards you nor do I disagree with your point. It's the fact that your point is true that's the problem. I've been in my fair share of parties where the BLM draws hate and dies repeatedly. It's not fun. It doesn't represent all BLMs though. It's difficult, but fun to manage your spells and the hate they draw. That's actually something I enjoy about BLM. It's thrilling. It gives you a sense of accomplishment when you can get through a fight doing high amounts of damage while still keeping hate on the tank. Like I said, there are plenty of BLMs such as myself who have mastered the art of hate control while nuking. If I could get invites I'd be ecstatic. I'd be comfortable with an actual option besides the already crowded Promies with BSTs and such inside taking on the Wanderers, though. Sadly, such an option doesn't exist outside of finding other BLMs to do a Manaburn with, which isn't an easy task. The Manaburn's not so bad, it's actually finding people that haven't given up on BLM because of these issues that is. Edit: I see you Aeroo. I'm Nataleh btw |

Im saying that when this causes the blm to put out so little damage as to slow down the xp or fight considerably, there's a deeper problem than oh just give them puddings and pet xp and pretend they dont suck. I get that you really want us to know you can manage hate, so maybe someone will invite you to a party. Unfortunately, managing your hate makes your dps suck. |

It is hard to make a magic job more powerful in xp without making it overpowered in endgame. That's why we constantly have nas changing up formulas. Most jobs will only get weaker with the types of changes he usually aims for. |
