I'd like to start by saying I've been playing on this server for about 3 years and love every part of it. I've had little-to-no reason to complain on these forums (think this might actually be my first post^^)... the server mechanics and the community are amazing. However, I've encountered a pretty consistent problem when forming OWNM parties.

People keep wanting to bring jobs like PLD, WHM, MNK, NIN, DRK, etc.

OWNM is NOT for these jobs! The items/rewards are intended for Black Mage and Ranger ONLY (and to a lesser extent, rdm)!

A lot of folks don't realize how much of a gil-sink those two jobs are. People with no experience on BLM and/or RNG rightfully have NO business joining ownm runs!

Anyway, I don't mean to keep ranting-on... thanks for listening.

OWNMS are for everyone, but optimally killed with a certain group composition. Anyone can join on any job to try and change this meta. Certainly no job is anymore entitled to the money from the drops.

No, it is specifically designed to be not straight tankable and to give people options to get bcnm gear they couldnt get before in an open world competitive setting.

Actually I have a question regarding OWNMs - Usually when doing BCNMs the rule is "your orb, your drops". When doing OWNMs how do you decide who keeps the loot?

Same with any other NM. Either you sell it and share the gil or you freelot. That's what most people do. You could also be like "Ill get first KC, you second" etc.

I'd love to hear of a better meta than 5 RNG RDM with BRD + COR roll prebuffs opening with TP + Barrage + more TP.

edit: THF instead of one of the RNGs if you want drops.

Didnt say there was a better meta, just simply saying there is more ways to kill ownm than the standard rng and blm
