You probably just need the directx proxy installed/fixed. Just google search “FFXI directx proxy” and it should be the first result, just make sure to drop the files in the ffxi-bootmod folder. I’m pretty sure there are links in the wiki but don’t have them handy. The folks on Naschat could probably help, toi

Did you enable gamepad but then unplug one? Disable gamepad (make sure to run the config as admin to save changes)
