Everyone uses mithkabobs to start, and then some form of sushi for acc (sole, squid, whatever they can afford). However, I was wondering if someone might be able to create, or point me in the direction of, a list that ranks foods in order of power and effectiveness for straight melee DMG, Accuracy, and for the mages - macc / matk? Also a somewhat objective analysis of what to use in which situation?

Again, to save time, if you know of a good wiki article that might take care of this for me, that would be great.

As thanks, here is a picture of a roast beef dinner

As to how to tell when to pop sushi or attack food, you'll have to compare whether the attack boost is worth forgoing 15% accuracy.

My understanding is it's a flat 15%, so doing some rough napkin math you'd figure if you're missing 50% of the time, attack food would need to at least make you hit at least 30% harder to justify using.

This is what I think you should use in exp most of the time.

melee vs high IT targets: sushi
melee, otherwise: marinara pizza (or akamochi)
melee pet job: akamochi
ranged: pot au feu
blm: fruit parfait, but I'm wondering if cookies might not be better
healer that rests mp: ginger/wizard cookie

If you're a baller and can afford them gil and loss in accuracy wise, then RCB > all for basically every physical DD

Lower levels you want to stack attributes as your combat skills and accuracy are so low. This makes Ambrosia king and Meat Mithkabobs(+5STR,attack) a solid option. If you're having ACC problems Jack-o-Lanterns provide +10 accuracy.

Around level 40 I use the following numbers to pick my food. Even at 75 things don't change much except specific situations.

If ACC = >90% Use Red/Yellow Curry Buns/meat
If ACC = 80-90% use pizza/akamochi
If ACC = <79% use Sole/Bream Sushi

Edit: For WHM, I'd suggest cookies as your main food. RDM early lvls, Rolanberry Pies, moving to Marron Glace/Fruit Parfait. BLM, Fruit Parfait 100%.

2nd Edit: These are all post-buff numbers, so you factor your support in before choosing your food.
