Currently trying to fish up a damp scroll to start Jubaku quest, but after 4 hours fishing at J-12 in Sea Serpent Grotto, still no scroll. Double checked log to make sure I haven't completed it with a bought scroll without remembering. Basically just wondering if the scroll is attainable by regular means? Or has this been changed? Or was it removed or something? Last sale of the damp scroll I see is back in August, and there are 0 listed. Thanks. |

There was an alternate way to get this before fishing was fixed and I can't remember what it was. Maybe someone else can chime in or you can try shouting in MogHouse. Maybe it never got added to the fishing tables. |

What rod and bait were you using to fish with? I've caught a few myself using Clothespole and either shrimp lure or trout balls. They're not super common but they are definitely in there. |

I was using Fly Lure and Hume rod as recommended here: http://ffxiclopedia.wikia.com/wiki/Damp_Scroll Though, I went, 0/300 at least. Caught a dump truck of jellyfish and a few coral was all. Having read past descriptions from the original game back in 2005 and 2006 and so, people were claiming to catch the scroll on their 2nd or 3rd cast. So, I figured at 300, it was safe to assume it doesn't exist on here. I suppose not though, as you have caught some. I'm guessing it's not implemented properly. |

Fished 2 up in the pond just south of norg couple weeks ago, using random rod/baits; IIRC it was composite rod and some cheap worms. Got more Norg Shells than anything too, took quite a while. |
