Post subject:  How does the Ah prioritize what items are sold first

Hiya again! Wanted to ask how does the Ah decide what to sell first when people sell things for the same price? I was asking because I have some items on the Ah that haven't sold yet and when I check the Nasomi Ah site I can see other people sold items for the same price but were on the auction house less time. Is it rng, is it prioritized, or is the process not known? Let me know and thanks for being an awesome help guys and gals ^^.

Its based on the lowest bid. For example if your buying a lizard tail and it goes for 50 gil
and rob list his for 50
and I list mine for 30
mine will list first, so if you bid 50, your buying mine, not robs.

Now if rob and I both list at 50 on the same day, the one who listed it first wins.
So if rob listed for 50 at 9am
and I listed mine at 50 at 6pm
and you bought it at 6:30, your buying robs.

A lot of ppl will list lower, by intervals, to get theirs to sell first at the higher price.
So Rob lists at 50
I list at 47
You will probably bid 50 if 45 didnt work, and buy my lizard tail.

Hope this helps and special thanks to rob for being in my example :)

I don't know how it determines what to sell if two things are listed for the same price but it's not based on time.

Last time I tested it, it did. By listing two items not normally sold and buying it with both chars showed that the first char I put the item up with sold it. Unless something changed, thats how I always believed it was because of this factor.

I'm convinced there's some other weird shit with the AH based on some testing I've done. Stuff that's been posted for a significant amount of time seems less likely to sell. I've had the same item listed by my main and my alt, main had it up for an extended period of time (couple of weeks), listed something a little higher on my alt, purchased the item, and it was the one that the alt posted that got sold.

Reported it to nas, got no response.

It is based upon your character’s ID. the same thing that auto claim used.

Can confirm that if it is based on time, it's the newer that sells first not the older.

Have had arrows listed for 3-4 days, posted more at the same price and the newly posted ones sell first.

Had it as my Q+A question for 3 straight streams and no acknowledgement.

This example is unrealistic. Rob can't afford fee to list Lizard Tails atm because he spent all his gil buying Solea+1's.

This is how it should work. For the scenario of two items listed at the same price, this is not how it works.
