To be fair, most people just look up well known crafters names on the website and then make whatever they’re making.

True and you'll definitely make gil doing that, but you'd be surprised how much is actually being sold at a small loss at times, especially by the top guys because they don't notice 10-50k slipping through the cracks here and there.
