Post subject:  Hunting Rose Garden, and Player Griefing
I tried talking on Naschat privately, which directed me to talk to mentors, in which I was just given the response that they are not GM's and can't do much of anything to help out.
Anyone in this game is free to kill or attack whatever monster they wish to claim for whatever personal reasons they have.
In this case however, I went 0/3 on Vilma's Ring from Rose Garden. I've been persistent in trying to get this ring, took screenshots of ToD's and even brought friends to help each time to better my chances.
In this case, Vyo from RagEMonkeY LS decided to make sure NO ONE was able to claim or kill Rose Garden, about 2 minutes from the pop window. Myself, Leoheart (THF friend), Vyo, and a SMN Gorlan were there to try and get the ring. (Vyo was there last night as well when I got the claim and killed.)
Vyo cast Dia, and just sat there, making sure to disturb it literally right before it popped for no good reason at all.
I'm almost sure this can be considered player griefing, and I have no idea what to do about it as Naschat was of no help at all, other than to tell people of what just happened and who it was that screwed everyone else over.
The screenshot with Trashur is of the kill last night, the screenshot with Vyo is of the screenshot taken today to show people what happened.

Unfortunately, even in retail, unless the person specifically states they are doing it to grief you, it's not against the rules to kill any mob they wish too. It's a dick move definitely, especially if your out there actively camping it. Unfortunately though, thats the nature of the game. You might just have to keep trying til they either get bored and leave it alone for you, or you can find an alternative equipment to have. I wish you luck on it though!

Some people get their enjoyment out of annoying others. Just kinda have to ignore it and not let them get to you, or they're just likely to do it again :x

Nas is absolutely right to refer you to the mentors and to let the situation play itself out. Skyfox, this is an important life lesson for you to learn.

Unfortunately for you, he wasn't doing anything against the rules.

"• Holding a Notorious Monster without intent to kill or alter spawn time while other players are waiting.
• Notorious Monsters can be held a maximum of 4 hours to alter spawn times."

unless he was holding the monster for more than 4 hours, then he wasn't breaking any rules.
