Hello, I'm a newly-joined player as well, and just like Maken above, I cannot get into the game past the nation selection in the character creator. I get the same error Error code: FFXI-3101 Transmission error with lobby server. |

USUALLY when this happens your either picking a name that is taken or you are taking to long to choose a character. Try to have the character and name in mind already, and even a few back up names before logging into Nasomi |

I've been working with Maken and euphemia, theyre friends of mine. they've made characters, but logging in give the error. I'm 90% sure their names arent taken, as theyve tried the alt account names too. We've gone through the normal troubleshooting of launcher .exe changing, reinstalling etc. Might there be anti DDOS or botting measures that could have caught new people? |

2 friends of mine have the same problem, one of them deleted a working char to made a new one (she wanted to change Race). She can't login now (same errore), the other one made the char yesterday and still have the same problem, even if he make new char right now. |

There could be an issue with character creation lobby. If thats the case, posting here isn't going to fix anything. You'll need to go into chat. If you have tried different names and not letting it idle to long on character creation screen, and you are still getting errors then naschat is where you'll want to go. |

There is an ongoing problem with new chars logging in apparently. I just tried to make a new one, character is created so no name issue, and when I try to log into the server I get this error. But I can log on my main account just fine with no problem |
