People unfortunately cannot change their name after its made. It sounds like in your case though it is new so maybe? Can send a request and see. Probably best to start over with the name you really wanted on a fresh account. Since you haven't progressed very far as of yet.

Nasomi said multipletime character name change is not a thing ( ffxi is based on the reputation you make and that goes with your name) |

You may just have to make a fresh everything :/. As pasque said name change would give people who have done wrong the ability to restart their rep. In a sense. |
