On retail, peoples would pretty much always pull Golden- Tongued Culberry to the staircase next to its spawn location and kite it while runing in a circle. Here, the NM phases in and out of existance when he walks, falling through the map, making it it not only extremely hard to tell where he is, but also randomly despawn even when right next to it. I have wasted 2 pop items only to see it despawn while I was standing 15 meters away from it. Gravity seems to make it worse. (Fuck my 300k I guess). I don't expect a refund nor Nas to ever fix it (definitely a pathing/geodata issue), but yeah just a heads up for peoples trying to fight it the same way it was fought on retail. Some extra things of note regarding this NM: - Death can be stopped by shadows. - Losing aggro results in an instant despawn, instead of it walking back to its ???. You won't have time to reraise if you die. (Makes me think that him getting lost under the map actually results in a loss of aggro followed by an instant despawn, which means fixing the despawn would at least be a way to avoid this). - Unlike 95% of other NMs on the server, this one has proper resistances and is actually properly immune to silence. - The hate shift method doesnt seem to work. |

If it helps, when we did this for mine (and for profit) we used 1 smn, and 2 blm. The carbuncle will sit on the nm so it wont despawn when going under ground. Carbuncle will follow it. Then the blm would nuke and kite with shadows. I think blink works but /nin is best. Keep trying youll get it! |

Face tank it lowman, it's not hard, done it trio, 4x, 5x, and 6x in pt, always a win. Death is the only real danger but shadows absorb it, it's single target. Just be rdy to get ur shadows back up after a ga- death combo, keep it slowed/parad/dispelled. So far I've tanked it as pld, drk, and sam. It's rly not too bad. |
