Create character and choose server and world pass (I assume world pass function is just show) then proceed
to check name availability and world pass check. after 2 min idle error message states:
FFXI error 3113 and says timed out. Please help!! I've finally come so close and am really getting frustrated with how many roadblocks I've hit to try and relive this game!

its one of two things, your either taking to long picking your character/name so the server times out or
your name you picked is taken.

Got stuck in this too! I picked a name it's CERTAINLY unique, and still times out!

What can I do next? Start it over and pick the name fast??

I'm having this same problem. Ive tried 10 different names I know they all can't be taken.

Having the same problem tried multiple times with different names! Anyone know what else could be the problem?

Has anyone found a fix to this yet? I'm having no luck with it.

The thing with this error is this:

- You started the game
- You attempted a new character
- Error 3113 shows up. Either you took long on entering the name or the name has been already taken

If you happen to decide simply go back a step or two then change the name and reattempt to enter it, it will still show 3113 due to the first time you attempted. No matter how many times you try, It will shows the error 100% of the time.

The way to fix it is the moment you encountered the error, you must close Nasomi and reopen it again.

It will take you back to the character creation process, sure. But each time the game opens, it's a fresh attempt for the name.

I'm also getting this error when creating a character. I highly doubt someone has my name, but I guess it is possible.

When I go to create my alt. It won't let me. I sign in using username and password. Then it takes me into game to "Create Character" option. I can usually choose what race I want then it just freezes. Every single time. I can't even get to the point where I choose a name.
