Wasn't sure where to really post this, but I have the game installed from last time I ever played FFXI been a year or two. My question is should I just download the torrent file then install everything to a different directory or is it possible to use what's already installed on my computer? I never seen anyone mention this anywhere that I could find. So what I am asking is to install POL and FFXI & Expansions in a totally different directory so it doesn't interfere with my old install? |

You can use what you already have, but the instructions are geared towards a fresh install. You need to have all the expansions installed. Assuming you have that, I'd download the torrent(and don't use the installer), and start on step 3 here: http://nasomi.com/instruction.php |

So far everything is working with Retail installed, found a few hiccups along way such as I was looking up quests to do to get some free gil or gear along with reputation in Sandy. One of NPC is named wrong but when spoken to he says his correct name, then one where you get the kings tomb map along with 2k exp I go gamble with the NPC and when I win he don't activate rest of the quest he just keeps taking my money even when I win I am not given my winnings of a big 10gil I didn't realize I wasn't getting my money back when I kept doing it so ran it down to almost 0 gil lol so not sure if some quests might be just broke? |
