Post subject:  Boost CPU for FFXI
Hoi, I bought a mid laptop so I could play on the go. But wanted a few more FPS so started googling how to prioritize cpu and not park unused cores. (got a A10 AMD, with R6 340DX gpu) .

So found this nifty little program from a Danish player http://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/46234 ... y-booster/

Downloaded it and tried it with and without DualBoxing. On both tests I got around 18 more fps avarage. Just ticked off in settings the * settings.

Just wanted to share this program/info if someone else here needs some more juice to the game.

P.S for all users on laptops especially, turn on "Performance" on power usage..

I will try this as on my current potato!

Also did you turn off shadows/weather? Turning off just shadows for me raised by fps 10~ish

Of course :D

On tower pc all is on max 58 fps and its a dream.

On laptop:
Ingame: Shadows off, Clipping plane reduced, animetion reduced, weather effects off, footsteps off.
FFXIsettings/Ashita: Resolution on window 1600x900 , bakground 1024x1024, menu 1024x768, everything compressed. Graphics stabilizer on, and animetions off.

Out in the field i get 58 fps now with mercury and those settings. But it drops when stuff happens.. hehe. but im happy with results.
