Post subject:  The Big Bad List
Alright, so we all know there are bits and pieces that are out of place. Here and there, while adventuring, you will come across something that doesn't work, or something that isn't in it's proper place, but lets be more specific, and very sure. The best way, or so Nasomi himself has said, for him to fix certain problems is to find and report them. It would take countless hours for the guy to go through and find each problem with an item/quest/mob/etc, so lets lend a hand and help him out.

A couple of things, first, however - Make sure what you report is, in actuality, broken or malfunctioning. Too many times have I seen someone jump into the IRC chat and say they found a glitched quest, and in the end, it turned out to be a small step that they had missed along the way. When it comes to quests, especially long quests, retrace your steps a second, and even a third time, to make sure that the quest is busted. Ask around the MogHouse linkshell, and see if others are unable to complete the quest as well. Be doubly sure of it, before you post it as a problem, so that we don't end up wasting Nasomi's time, which could be spent on other things.

Feel free to PM me on the forum, or to simply reply with a DETAILED version of the problem that you're experiencing, and I'll add it to the top of this post. Only report things that are objectively broken, not things that you would like to see changed. This is not a suggestion post.


~*~ITEMS~*~

1. Cure Clogs - Cure Clogs, dropped from Bonnacon, do not reduce spellcasting time for "Cure" spells as the description says they should.
2. Temple Crown - Enhancement does not add 10 points of accuracy when worn during usage of the skill "Focus".
3. Temple Gaiters - Enhancement does not add 10 points of Evasion when worn during usage of the skill "Dodge".
4. Time Hammer - Slow effect does not proc at all.
5. Stun Kukri - Stun effect does not proc at all.
6. Curaga Earring - Does not work.


~*~SKILLS~*~

1. Shadowbind - Does not work. Gives an error message under all circumstances.
2. Tame - Does not work.
3. Cover - Does not work.
4. Healing Ruby - Does not heal party members.
5. Puppet Roll - Disabled.
6. Lullaby and Finale recast merits do not work.
7. Magic Attack Bonus is missing as a RDM passive ability.
8. Azure Lore - Does not function correctly.
9. Summoner Spirits - Do not cast magic.
10: Quickdraw recast Merit - Not functioning.

~*~QUESTS~*~

1. The Circle of Time - This quest is for the BArd AF body piece, Choral Justacorps. When you reach the point where you need to set the star ring inside the perennial snow, the quest ceases to function. You cannot get the ring out of the snow, and are thus unable to progress.
2. Bastok Mission 6-2 - The monster spawned near the end of the mission, Salamander, is much stronger than it should be.
3. Bastok Mission 7-1 - The monsters spawned during the mission, Mokkurakalfi, are much stronger than they should be.


~*~MONSTER RELATED~*~

1. HP-Based damage, such as Bomb Toss, Breath Attacks, etc, is much higher than it should be.
2. Crabs and Pugils, among others that will be named as they're encountered, spam TP skills before reaching max TP, or have a disproportionate TP gain.
3. Chocobo Leech does not pop when th pop item, fresh blood, is traded to the correct spot in Dangruf Wadi.

These are things that I've found to be broken, so far. Again, if going into the IRC chat gets you nowhere with a specific problem, lets leave Nas a sticky-note of a forum post. Please do not report any bugs or exploits that could cause trouble in-game - Instead, report those directly to Nasomi in the IRC chat, via PM.

A quick list of notable things about the Nasomi Server: (No order) *Updated 12/30*

1. Nasomi Midnight is 12:00am EST (Eastern Standard Time)
2. EXP Rings are disabled and do NOT work.
3. Level Sync is active (20 level difference cap)
4. Expansions up to TOAU works. (TOAU is very limited)
5. BLU COR PUP are unlockable, AF is mostly not available though, Relic AF is.
6. Auto-HP bug: Sometimes when you die, your auto sent back to your Home Point.
7. Worms move.
8. Mission 2-3, talk to every NPC, dont folllow wiki.
9. 1 Fisher per household/IP
10. Gob bomb damage is much greater on Nas.
11. Breath Damage is much greater on Nas.
12. EXP is 1x rate.
13. Fishing works up to lv 50.
14. You can dual box, and have a 3rd idle mule/bazar.
15. Exploits/hacks will get you banned, and all your linked characters.
16. Dynamis is different then era.
17. Airships work but are very buggy.
18. There is a special Chocobo Circuit you can enter in each main city that will warp you to each main city for 500g (Required lv10+)
19. Emotes do not work. (They used to crash other players, and are currently disabled)
20. Spells that are out of era (ie Enspell II) do NOT work and will disappear after zoning.
21. PUP is mostly not working.
22. Sometimes moving right after you stand up from healing will cause your player to sit/heal again.
23. PET mobs do not give full exp.
24. BST 'Stay' does not regain pet HP. (Out of Era). 'Tame' also does not work currently.
25. an Ogre bat in King R. Tomb sometimes comes through the floor and murders you.
26. Some BCNMs work, others have been replaced with OMWN (unnamed dragons that drop BCNM loot tables) ***CURRENTLY DISABLED***
27. MOG GARDEN doesn't work and you will be stuck if you dont have a warp.
28. DELIVERY BOX does not work, your items may get stuck. Do NOT use.
29. MOGHOUSE is a public server wide linkshell, shout in any city to get a pearl.
30. about a 200-400 player population currently
31. PLD's Cover ability doesn't work.
32. Some merits are currently not functioning.
33. Selbina / Mhuara Ship doesn't spawn monsters.
34. Do NOT delete any character, you may bug and delete a different character
35. Highly recommended to only create 1 character per account.
36. PARTY LIST bugs galore. If you dont show up in party list after accepting, try zoning. Alliances bug when zoned.
37. FAME & WEATHER NPCs do NOT show correct fame/weather.
38. SMN job qst will not show cutscene if your on a chocobo, the screen will black out, you will have acquired the weather CS though.
39. Bastok Bridge is bugged ; ; use the boat next to the bridge to warp across.
40. Elevators are bugged, you must be very patient as they love to troll you.
41. DRG quest has a bug that selects the above name for your dragons name. **NPC in Norg works to change your wyvern's name, is accurate*
42. SMN carby blood pact 'Healing Ruby' does not heal party members.
43. No synthesis history. Out of Era.
44. BLU accuracy is off.
45. SMN can NOT magic burst.
46. Crafting is affected by day/moon
47. BLU 2hr not working correctly.
48. DRG unlock quest: Sometimes you need to repeat the BCNM to unlock it.
49. Crashing may send you back to zone line/previous zone if warped.
50. You do not loose TP when resting, while under signet.
51. When un-syncing from Level sync, you must change a piece of gear to refresh your spell list.
52. Occasionally newly acquired items do not show on your item list, Auto-sorting your items will refresh the list.
53. Occasionally combat or magic skill shows level being capped at wrong level. Changing a piece of gear will solve this.
54. BLU Clear Mind & Attack Bonus are not working correctly.
55. Certain monster spam TP moves, start with full TP, and gain TP quicker.
56. Certain Monster TP moves deal far more damage then era retail. (Screwdriver, Hell Dive, etc)
57. Treasure Chests in Castle Zvahl Baileys cannot be opened with their Key. Thief tools must be used.
58. COR unlock You currently do not need a Lamian Fang Key to open the gate in Arrapago Reef. As of listing this 5/2/2016
59. Puppet Roll: as of April 21, 2016, Nasomi has disabled Puppet Roll. You can learn the ability, but unable to use this specific roll
60. BLU COR PUP Maat fights do not work, you must defeat Maat on another job.(OUT OF ERA)
61. Cradle Horn, NOTE: The Cradle is obtained differently on Nasomi as opposed to Retail, on Nasomi it is a rare drop from Elder Goobue in the Boyahda Tree.
62. BRD The Lullaby and Finale recast merit recast options do not work currently.
63. The item “Sha'ir Gages/Sheik Gages” do not properly function on Nasomi as of yet, the “song recast delay-” stat is broken, similar to your merit options that do the same for certain songs.
64. Fencer's Ring enspell effect does not work.
65. Instrument skill is not coded the same as retail. As in, instrument skill provides absolutely no assistance in magic accuracy for offensive bard songs. As such, the offensive song sets are filled with Singing Skill, and CHR.
66. Auction House has no fees, and you can list as many items as you wish. Clicking 'Sales History' will lock up your ability to list past 7 items. Zoning fixes this.
67. No friends list. Blist works.
68. Weather Check NPCs do not work correctly.
69. Windurst Mission is currently stuck on Mission 9.2
70. Dynamis Lord currently does not spawn.
71. Lord of Onzozo does not drop a working Kraken Club, it is only obtainable through "Up In Arms" BCNM & OWNM60
72. Quest "Exit the Gambler" does not work.
73. All Maps are obtainable through the MAP NPC, one in each main city.
74. COR Random Deal ability does not work.
75. PROMY Hola Dem Mea can bug if multiple people use the warp pad at the same time. Have to redo floor if black screen.
76. "Bait and Switch" Bastok quest is not working.
77. Red Mage are missing Magic Attack Bonus traits here.
78. Magic spell costs in the menu visually reflect the 2015 values, however, the spell costs are still correct here.
79. Ninjutsu does not magic burst.
80. Magic Bursts seem to add damage but not accuracy (*need verification on this)
81. Mobs in Beaudaux can link and pass through the terrain.
82. Stunning certain mobs abilities can crash players. (Confirmed by Aselius & Duhkha & Malidar in KRT on Ogre Bats)
83. COP missions are currently much easier then retail, NMs do not require animas, The NMs do not use their big TP moves. MEA does not spawn adds.
84. Bard status resistance songs are disabled (Operetta, Capriccio, Pastoral, Round, etc.). Save your money and do not buy them. Apparently they caused people to crash.
85. Chocobo License takes 1 REAL LIFE MINUTE for each trade of grass.
86. Bastok Missions 6-2 & 7.1 NMs are much stronger then retail.
87. Curaga earring does not work. Magic Slacks is working.
88. Casting times for Black Magic are classic.
89. RNG Shadow Bind ability is not functioning.
90. PLD AF body quest not working correctly
91. Treasure Chests in Maze of Shakhrami appear invisible.
92. Parry Skill up rate is broken and can be skilled to cap on any level monsters.
93. Magic resistance formula is calculated differently.

Feel free to add. I'll update when I think of more.
I will be organizing this into the Naswiki once I get some time.

@Malidar - I've added the things that are both relative and have enough detail to merit attention. Some of the quests that you have posted there, I want to add, but I need more detail - Where they stop working, and under what circumstances, specifically. Thanks for the big ol' list, though!

I did this quest this weekend. Once the ring is in the snow I went back, and talked to everyone in order again. It never said i got the ring out of the snow, but I was able to continue to fight Bugaboo, and get my coat.

I can confirm that it doesn't work as of 1/15/2017

the coffer works in zvahl, you can get that key item.

the npc dialogue and second key item from sandoria also work.

the well in Davoi that's supposed to spawn two NMs (one that drops the well weight) does nothing.

It does. You must read the key item's description first before talking to the guy on the mines. It will not register as "completed" until you get the Rabbit Mantle.

I've tried duplicating this by retracing steps, and trying your method several times. Nothing seems to change for me.
