Hi, just installed the game and logged in, everything runs fine, but every menu and the chat log is in Japanese. Managed to log in from memory, but it's a bit of a pain since I can't read anything
can anyone help please?

Hmm, not sure, but I would assume it can be changed at the initial screen 'Select char | create char | delete char | settings | exit' i believe it is. |

Thanks for the reply  unfortunately there was nothing for language settings in there, just things like volume, layout, keyboard type and such.

I think the only way to fix it is a full reinstall of the game. |

Couldn't find any config file for FFXI sadly, so I couldn't edit it for language. Couldn't find anything similar

try talking to nasomi on nasomi.net but im pretty sure ive fixed this before by doing a full uninstall of POL and FFXI and everything. Are you able to log in and create a character in english? Because if you are getting an error message in japanese when you try I think you need to copy the data folder from FFXI into the POL folder |

Spoke to Nas the other day he doesn't know why it occurs. I'll try uninstall POL this time aswell. I can log in and create a character from memory. no error messages, just the whole game is in JP, menus, chat log, item names, jobs. |
