| Post subject: | Frequent frame skips |
Every few seconds in game I lose all of my frames and the game "skips" for a second. I have tried to fresh install and i still have the issue. I am not sure what else to try and I am not sure how it started happening in the first place. |

I have the EXACT same issue, and it just started 2 weeks or so ago. Approximately every 5sec I drop 5-6 frames and get a “skip”. I also have tried a fresh install, rolling back video drivers, removing any software that had been installed since the issue began, etc. I have also Unloaded ALL addons, tried /FPS 1 and /FPS 2. Everything I can think of. I’m just living with it at the moment but it sucks! As an added note, my other install on my laptop doesn’t have this issue, just my desktop. Anyone figures anything out PLEASE post. |

I have a fix for this. Go to the ffxi config and go to gamepad settings and turn off the gamepad. The issue is that the game is constantly looking for a gamepad to connect to and that is why it glitches every few seconds. |
