Quest: Exit the Gambler (though, may still happen without the quest) After trading the gambler 5 gil, the UI disappears and all menu commands are disabled. Movement is still possible though. Thanks.

I didn't have the UI problem, however the quest would not complete for me. It's in my quest log, and i can gamble with him. I won, went back to the starter NPC and they just go through there starter quest dialog. So i was unable to obtain the map, though i know you can buy it, gil is in short supply to start Void4ever

Update: It only locks up if you lose the gamble. I won this time, but now I'm in the same boat as void4ever and can't advance the quest.

Yep, the same happened to me. If you lose you lose your ui and cant do anything else. Closing the game and logging back in allowed me to try again but the ending npc won't complete the quest and give the map.

I'm having the same issue. Varchat causes the game to freak out. i know it's happening because in the bottom right there are two () on top of eachother where my information used to be.
